3 Gas and dual fuel burners Burner series Mnx 1000 M and 1200 M, capacity range kw The Oiln Mnx series f gas and dual fuel burners are designed and manufactured t prvide a higher capacity, up t 13.3 MW, at lwer cst. The fixed air fan slutin f the Mnx burners achieves the fllwing benefits cmpared t the cnventinal dublck (separate cmbustin air fan) burner: Decreased share f mechanical installatin wrk cmpared t dublck burners N separate air channels Plug-in cnnectins make electrical and autmatin installatin faster Mre accurate adjustment thanks t WiseDrive autmatin, wider turn-dwn rati imprved efficiency f the biler Lwer NO x emissins Enclsure class IP 54 enables utdr installatins Mre ecnmical price/pwer rati Cnstructin The steel plate husing incrprates a three-phase mtr that runs the fan lcated in the husing. The husing has a surface finish with durable, high-glss paint. A remvable cver lcated n tp f the burner makes it easy t carry ut maintenance n the nzzle and ignitin electrdes. The cmbustin head and diffuser disc, which are made frm a stainless steel ally, withstand a temperature f apprx. 1,200 C. Electrnic regulatin enables ptimum cmbustin parameters thrughut the capacity range. The burner is equipped with a sight glass fr flame bservatin. An air damper assembly n the suctin side f the fan autmatically cntrls, tgether with the servmtr, the air flw accrding t the required utput. Electrical cnnectrs are lcated utside the burner. The il regulatr, equipped with servmtr, is lcated n the il line returning frm the nzzle. The il bster pump and filter are lcated in the bster unit (PKYK). The piping between the burner and the PKYK is t be built n site. The gas burners cmply with the standard EN 676, and the dual burners cmply with the requirements f the standards EN 230 and EN 267. Suitable applicatins and installatin The burners are suitable fr warm and ht water bilers, steam bilers, ht air generatrs and varius types f prcess heating equipment. In additin, the burners are designed fr high furnace back pressures. They can be munted in hrizntal, vertical and upward-facing, r vertical and dwnward-facing rientatin. The structure, materials and enclsure class f the burners is IP 54, ( C). The nrmal installatin altitude is max. 500 m abve sea level, ther installatin altitudes n request. Fuels The fllwing fuels can be used in the different burner mdels: GP gas burners: - natural gas, gases f 2nd family, grups H and E (equipment categry I 2R ) GKP dual fuel burners: - light fuel il, viscsity 4 12 mm²/s, +20 C, natural gas as abve. Burners using ther fuels are available n request. Capacity regulatin methds The Mnx burners are mdulating burners with three (GP) r fur (GKP) servmtrs. Electrnic regulatin enables easy start-up and accurate regulatin thrughut the capacity range, depending n the lad. Optimisatin f cmbustin head regulatin increases the regulating range and imprves cmbustin results. The burners are adjusted accrding t the flue gas analysis. Gas equipment The gas cmpnents f the burners cmply with the standard EN 676: tw shut-ff valves, pressure switches (min./max.) and an autmatic valve leak tester. Fuel inlet pressure t the burner is determined accrding t the size f the shut-ff valves (cf. separate table). High-pressure piping equipment is available n request. Flame mnitring The burners are equipped with autmatic infrared flame mnitring. Cntrl devices The electrnic burner cntrl autmatics (WiseDrive) are assembled in a separate cntrl cabinet. The cntrl unit autmatically carries ut all the functin phases f the burner. In the event f a burner failure, the system autmatically stps the burner. The capacity cntrller is lcated in the cntrl unit. A Mdbus cnnectin (Prfibus als available) enables cmmunicatin with external plant peratin systems. The burner parameters can be adjusted using a display and cntrl panel lcated in the cntrl cabinet dr. If necessary, diagnsis and regulatin f the burner can be carried ut via a mdem. Silencer A separate silencer is available at additinal cst. We reserve the right t make technical alteratins. 1

Lw NOx technlgy fr lwer cmbustin gas emissins The new cmbustin head structure makes it pssible t reduce flue gas NO x emissins. Recirculatin f flue gas in the furnace, ahead f the cmbustin head, decreases the amunt f nitrgen xides by up t 50 % cmpared t cnventinal burners. The cmbustin values depend n the gemetry and lad f the furnace. In additin, the Lw NO x burner has very lw carbn mnxide emissins.

The standard panels and cabinets are designed fr vltages 3~400 V 50 Hz, cntrl vltage 1~230 V 50 Hz. Enclsure class IP 40. Type marking f the cntrl panel is OK WD100 (electrnic rati cntrl) r OK WD200 (electrnic rati cntrl with O 2 sensr and/r with fan mtr RPM regulatin). Type marking f the supply cabinet is RK100. 13 Silencer Silencer, type MV 5 (accessry) Cnstructin The MV 5 silencer is made f steel plate lined with fireprf dampening wl. This wheel-equipped silencer islates the burner frm fur sides. The MV 5 silencer reduces the sunds during burner peratin by db(a) Optimising cmbustin head pressure lss 11 The speed f the cmbustin air at the cmbustin head is cntrlled by mving the adjustment ring in the axial directin. When the adjustment ring is in the frnt psitin, the gap between the ring and the diffuser disc is small and therefre suitable fr the minimum burner capacity. When the adjustment ring is in the rear psitin, the gap between the ring and the diffuser disc is large and therefre suitable fr maximum capacity. The adjustment ring is cnnected mvable t the servmtr regulating the burner capacity. This way, the adjustment ring is always in ptimised psitin fr the required capacity. Furthermre, the adjustment range f the burner increases.
