9 First Time Freshmen Admissions Successful Completion of all A-G Requirements SAT/ACT Testing GPA is based on all Approved college preparatory UC A - G courses from 10 th 11 th. 2.0 GPA minimum to be considered for admissions. Eligibility Index (E.I.) Score: Minimum 2900 using SAT, 694 using ACT. Formula available online. Placement Tests: Entry Level Math and English Placement Test (ELM/EPT) unless exempt

11 SAT and ACT CSU will accept both tests. Only one has to be taken. Some students do better on one of them * The last test date students can test on is in December for CSU s. Registration deadline is usually in previous month. * Students can retake tests as many times as they want for better scores. Recommended to take them early and more than once. * CSU Mentor Test Code for SAT makes scores available to all Cal States.
12 Entry Level Math Test and English Placement Test Enrollment requirement. Answer the additional questions on CA state tests your junior year as part of the Early Assessment Program May be exempt via SAT, ACT, AP, or senior-year experience courses.
13 Timeline Apply between Oct. 1 st Nov. 30 th at during Fall semester of your senior year. Submit $55 application fee when you apply but no later than campus winter break. It is highly recommended to pay the fee online. Take the SAT or ACT by December. Register for December test date before November. Submit SAT/ACT scores by Jan 31 st. Admissions decisions given out between Feb.-April. Some campuses may notify students earlier. Enrollment Confirmation Deposit due May 1 st. Take ELM/EPT if not exempt by May 2 nd. Register for May 2 nd test date before April. Recommended to take test earlier if possible. Test dates available throughout school year. Final transcripts and documentation due July 15 th.
14 PARTING ADVICE Not sure about something? Need help? Reach out and ask! We are more than happy to help and clarify. Be proactive. Communicate with the admissions department, counselor, professor, teacher. Cross your t s and dot your i s. Fill out information correctly. An incorrect address or date of birth can lead to headaches down the road. Sit down and plan: Meet deadlines, register and apply on time. Take time to gather required documents. It takes a while to order, mail, and process documents.
