Network Critical Physical Infrastructure represents a significant investment for any company. Unlike traditional bricks and mortar or modular systems where relocation is not possible, Workspace Technology's industry leading Mobile Data Centre allows for total portability. The Mobile Data Centre is designed for those businesses that require the flexibility to relocate server room facilities. The system also provides a cost effective way to easily expand existing data centre capacity and to provide both business continuity and disaster recovery solutions. 3 Configuration Options The Mobile Data Centre is delivered complete with a computer room grade raised access floor, close control cooling, equipment cabinets, critical and standard power distribution, UPS systems, internal inter-cabinet Catorgory 6 cabling, secure access control, environmental and equipment monitoring systems. The delivered solution once hooked up to water and power is complete and ready for deployment of client server and network equipment. The Mobile Data Centre internal configurations are based on modular right size designs, hot and cold aisle cabinet arrangements combined with airflow control features which ensure maximum cooling efficiency. A range of Mobile Data Centre sizes and Kilowatt ratings enable Workspace Technology to provide solutions, which match customer requirements. 3

4 MDC DX2000 InfraStruXure - Medium to High Density Cabinets Our premium model is based on APC's industry leading InfraStruXure cooling and UPS technology, supporting medium to high density cabinet deployments. Core systems are based on the Symmetra PX modular high density 19 rack format UPS, combined with the InRow RP DX based cooling platform, to deliver effective cooling up to 36Kw. The MDC InfraStruXure is pre configured with APC SX vendor independent 42U cabinets. 9 Mobile Data Centre System Options Option Details N+1 Cooling The installation of a second AC system will provide for N+1 cooling resilience providing enhanced system availability for key business systems. Fire Suppression The installation of a FM200 based fire suppression system will provide essential security against fire. Workspace Technology offers the deployment of detection, alarm and suppression systems as part of a pre-engineered MDC solution. Intelligent PDU's EcoMeasure Redundant UPS Module Access Control Standby Generator IP KVM IP CCTV Metered PDU's with network connections are available to enable full monitoring of power unitisation at cabinet level. Workspace Technology's unique product EcoMeasure provides ongoing monitoring for room efficiency and energy consumption. APC Symmetra PX systems allow for additional and redundant 10Kw power modules, providing enhanced UPS system resilience. Proximity based ACT access control systems can be installed to provide programmed secure room access. Standby power generation is a key component of high availability power systems for data centres and network rooms. Information technology systems may operate for minutes or even a few hours on UPS battery, but local power generation capability is key to achieving high availability and continuous operation in utility power failure situations. If necessary, optional extended run times in excess of 72 hours before refuelling can be implemented. For dark room functionality, IP based KVM switches can be pre-installed within the comms rack, ready for connection to servers via Cat5e cabling. This enables out of band remote control of server and network equipment. Axis IP cameras can be deployed to allow for remote monitoring of systems via the IP network. 9

10 Mobile Data Centre Deployment All of our Mobile Data Centre systems are made to order at our build facility near Sutton Coldfield. All systems are pre-tested and commissioned so they are fully Server Ready when delivered to site. The Mobile Data Centre is designed with a simple arrangement for connection to power and water. Within the hook up enclosure there is a three phase socket for power, copper and fibre ports for I.T and water/waste for AC systems. Workspace Technology provide a turn-key solution, building any base structures, installing ducts and pre-wiring power and I.T cables along with pipeworks for AC systems. Mobile Data Centre Service & Support Workspace Technology offers a significant degree of flexibility in the configuration of appropriate support arrangements in order to provide the customer with a tailor made service. Planned Preventative Maintenance Contracts The Mobile Data Centre is inherently designed to be reliable and available. To ensure availability is maintained, it is important that inspections and servicing, as recommended by manufacturers, is undertaken on key infrastructure components, including air-conditioning, UPS systems, generators and fire suppression systems. Workspace Technology will tailor a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) service contract to suit engineering and system components within the MDC DX facility. An appropriately implemented PPM contract will increase the availability of the NCPI facility and improve the 'Mean Time to Repair' should things go wrong. Annual NCPI Report As a value added addition to any PPM contract, Workspace Technology offer an annual NCPI engineering report service which delivers independent assessments of all key NCPI architecture components, namely Construction, Protection, Engineering, Technical, Monitoring and also reviews of service arrangements. The Annual NCPI Report delivers ongoing evaluation and recommendations which help fine tune the Network Critical Physical Infrastructure to support the ever present network and server equipment refresh programmes. Contract Maintenance A combination of design and planned preventative maintenance helps move system reliability and availability to the ideal figure of %. However in the real world where system failure is a reality, Workspace Technology recommend and can deploy traditional onsite break fix support contracts. As standard we offer 24x7x365 help desk support for all core system components.
