4 Course Selection Process Parents and students should consider student interests and goals. Together, choose the courses that will help your student achieve those goals. One parent should sign the course selection sheet before your appointment. The counselor will then know that a discussion about their course selections has occurred.
5 Course Selection Process the course selection form 1. Core classes, English, Math, Science, and Social Studies for which you are recommended will be indicated on the course selection sheet. 2. Freshmen PE and Lunch are required. 3. You may choose up to 2 credits of electives. 4. Select at least 1 alternate elective class.
6 Course Selection Process Counselor Meeting A counselor will travel to the school your student currently attends. Parents are welcome, but not required, to be at the meeting. The meeting should last approximately 10 minutes. Questions about curriculum or placement should be directed to the appropriate department chairperson.

Be a part of the Marching Rams- perform at Disney World and at various events throughout our community! (Concert, Treble, and Mixed) Learn sight reading, tone quality, and sing with a group. Perform at concerts and community events! Guitar I and II- Learn the basics of guitar from melody playing, chords, rhythms and ensembles. Survey of Pop Music- Study music from jazz, hip hop and country through contemporary pop music styles. Music Theory- Learn about the composition of music and how to create and write music.

26 Should my student take 4 years of Language? By starting freshmen year, it ensures AP eligibility and eligibility for language specific honor societies. Language fluency gives our children the best chance at success in the future by giving them the tools they will need to succeed in a global economy.
27 Summer School 2016 Make room for more electives! Get ahead in course sequence! Located at Grayslake North High School this year. Bus transportation provided. Chromebook will be issued to each student. First semester dates are: Monday, June 6 Thursday, June 23. Second semester dates are: Monday, June 27 Friday, July 15. Classes meet Monday-Thursday. The only exception is Friday, July 15 th on which date class will be held due to the July 4 th holiday. Hours are 8:00 am 1:00 pm.
