5 Core Curriculum 4 Credits of Math Algebra taken in the 8 th grade does not count as 1 of the 4 Math credits. It counts as an Elective credit. 1 st Math credit = 9 th grade Math course 4 total credits required
6 Math Credit Options Option #1 8 th 8 th Grade Math 9 th - Algebra 1A and 1B (2 credits) 10 th - Geometry (1 credit) 11 th - Algebra II w/trig (1 credit) 4 Total Credits Students may opt to take additional credits during Senior year.

28 Accelerated Math I (6 th grade) 6th grade CCRS and half of 7 th grade CCRS To qualify for placement in Accelerated Math I students must meet two of the following three criteria: OLSAT SAI score of 120 or higher (administered end of 5 th grade) A 90% or higher score on the endof-course math placement test At least a 90% (A) yearly average in 5 th grade math
29 Accelerated Math II (7 th grade) Remaining half of 7th grade CCRS and 8 th grade CCRS To qualify for placement in Accelerated Math II students must meet two of the following three criteria: OLSAT SAI score of 120 or higher A 90% or higher score on the end-ofcourse math placement test At least a 90% (A) yearly average in 6 th grade math Rising 7 th graders who have successfully completed Accelerated Math I will automatically be placed in Accelerated Math II.
30 Algebra I in 8 th grade To qualify for placement in Algebra I in 8 th grade, students must: 1. Score an 80 or higher on the Orleans Hanna Algebra prognosis test. Students who do not meet this first criterion will not be considered for placement in Algebra I as 8 th graders. 2. Meet two of the following three criteria: OLSAT SAI score of 120 or higher A 90% of higher score on the Pre- Algebra end-of-course test At least a 90% (A) yearly average in 7 th grade math
