1 Senior Specialist (Online learning) National Library, Information and Knowledge Services The Senior Specialist Online Learning is responsible for providing deep specialist knowledge and expertise in developing online learning approaches and frameworks that will ensure our digital content and services fosters the development of digitally literate learners and supports the effective practice of educators and librarians. The Senior Specialist, Online Learning will build relationships in the library, education and digital sectors to promote and build national approaches to developing digitally literate learners and will support capability development within Services to Schools. The Senior Specialists will work together and across all teams to ensure that their areas of expertise (developing readers, online learning and school library development) provide integrated products and services aligned with the Services Strategy and meet the needs of our customers. 3 What you will do to contribute Service Design Contribute in-depth knowledge of theory, research and practice in developing exemplary learning and pedagogical frameworks and instructional design for the presentation of digital content and services on the schools online delivery channel Develop and produce content, tools and resources to support the delivery of agreed digital literacy programmes and services Contribute knowledge and expertise to National Capability Services development of targeted programmes and professional learning and development programmes Building effective relationships Facilitating the establishment of partnership approaches around online learning Work in close collaboration with the other Senior Specialists and Team Leaders and keep up to date with developments in those areas Lifting Performance Contribution to strengthening the effectiveness of national cross-sector collaboration and impact in the specialist area Contribution to programme delivery in collaboration with Facilitators Capability Services Contribution to the development of online products, services and learning frameworks in collaboration with all Services to Schools teams Commitment to the Services to Schools strategy by actively supporting the development and implementation of the new service delivery model Actively participate as action researchers to find innovative solutions for service improvement.
