3 J W E L C O M E The New Jersey Obstetrical and Gynecological Society takes pleasure in inviting you to our 60 th Annual Meeting to be held at Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino, Atlantic City, New Jersey on June 27 28, Since hotel accommodations on weekend nights in Atlantic City are no longer available, we have decided to change the format of our program and begin mid-morning on Sunday and all day on Monday. Hotel rooms will be available on Sunday and Monday nights. This year the conference will be co- sponsored by AWHONN New Jersey Section, the New Jersey Section of ACOG, and the Central New Jersey Maternal and Child Health Consortium. 5 Objectives At the conclusion of this conference, attendees should be able to: Gain insight into factors leading to escape ovulation and ovarian cyst formation and become familiar with extended dose steroid contraception. Identify the risks of substance abuse to mother and fetus. Diagnose and manage skin diseases and disorders of relevance to the OB/GYN specialist. Discuss the role of the office practitioner in assessing, ordering and interpreting findings in patients considered to be at risk for female cancers. Interpret the meaning of birads and to assess appropriate triage and use of MRI s. Review the patient presentations that could indicate a risk for ovarian cancer. List the factors associated with the age related diminution in reproductive potential. Review specific types of lesions including leukoplakia, atypical vessels, LGSIL, HGSIL, and cancer. Develop nursing care plan for the antepartum and/ or post partum patient with placenta acreta, percreta, increta. Recognize treatment options for the management of placenta percreta. Identify, evaluate, diagnose and treat common female urologic problems in a general practice. Evaluate patients who are candidates for bariatric surgery and address the effects of this procedure upon future pregnancies. Discuss the preparation and qualifications required for bariatric surgery. (Continued)
