9 Account Access and Information Banking Hours During Conversion Weekend CBT will integrate its systems with Berkshire Bank over the weekend of Sat. - Sun., Nov All CBT branch locations will be open as normal on Fri., Nov. 2 with the exception of the Vernon branch, which will close early at 4:00 pm. All of the CBT branches will be closed on Sat., Nov. 3 and will re-open on Mon., Nov. 5 as Berkshire Bank CBT Region branches at their normal times. All CBT branches and drive-ups will be closed on Sat., Nov. 3. You may start obtaining cash or making transactions by using your new Berkshire Bank CBT Region Debit Card on or after Fri., Nov. 2, just as you do now, at any ATM during the conversion weekend or after. Continue To Bank At Your Branch Office CBT branches will become offices of Berkshire Bank, so you can continue to bank where you do now. Your new expanded branch network will include additional offices and ATMs in Massachusetts and New York, plus offices in Vermont. Whichever branch you choose, we look forward to serving you! (See page 27 for a listing of Berkshire Bank offices and ATMs.) Minimal Staff Changes We ve asked all branch personnel to continue serving you at Berkshire Bank CBT Region branches. For the most part, you ll see the same people you already know. Teller Line Deposits and Payments Will Be Posted the Same Day Beginning Mon., Nov. 5, for your banking convenience, all personal and business banking transactions received at the teller line by the close of business will be posted the same business day and subject to our Funds Availability policy. Transfers or payments made using Internet or Telephone Banking will be processed on the same business day until 7:00 pm. ATMs CBT ATMs will be available during the conversion weekend. We anticipate minimal service disruptions to your ATM service as the CBT ATMs are converted to Berkshire Bank CBT Region. 7

Debit Cards TAKE ACTION On or after Fri., Nov. 2, activate your new card by performing a balance inquiry or other PIN-based transaction at any participating merchant or go to any Berkshire Bank ATM, or any other NYCE or Cirrus network ATM. Continue to use your existing CBT Debit Card for all transactions until Fri., Nov. 2 at 3:00 am EST. After 3:00 am on Fri., Nov. 2, begin using your new Berkshire Bank CBT Region Debit MasterCard. To activate your new card, simply use it at any NYCE network ATM by requesting a balance inquiry or transaction, or make a PIN-based transaction at any participating merchant. Please note that your current CBT Debit Card will no longer be active on and after Fri., Nov. 2 at 3:00 am. WATCH FOR You will receive your new Personal Identification Number (PIN). Once you receive your new PIN you may change it at any Berkshire Bank ATM or via Berkshire Bank s Telephone Banking system on or after Mon., Nov. 5. Your new Berkshire Bank CBT Region Debit Card will provide the same convenient protection that you enjoyed with your CBT Debit Card. Your new Debit Card is accepted for payment anywhere you see the MasterCard logo. WATCH FOR Also, beginning Mon., Nov. 5, you will enjoy the following higher purchase and withdrawal limits for your daily transactions. Purchase Limit $3,000 ATM Limit $610 Important-Action May Be Needed: If you have any recurring payments previously set up with a merchant using your CBT Debit Card number, you will need to provide the new Berkshire Bank CBT Region Debit Card number and expiration date to the merchant(s). Reminder: Activate your new card on or after 3:00 am Fri., Nov. 2, Please call us at if you have any questions or concerns. For security purposes, please destroy your CBT Debit Card on or after Fri., Nov. 2. WATCH FOR As always, we will never contact you to ask for your Debit Card information or any personal information over the phone or through or by text. To stay safe from scams and fraud, do not provide your personal information to anyone. 8

For security purposes, please destroy your CBT Debit Card on Fri., Nov. 2. If you are an existing card holder, you will be receiving a new Berkshire Bank CBT Region ATM or MasterCard Debit Card. You will receive a new PIN number in a separate mailer. Some CBT ATMs may be unavailable during the last two weeks of October while they are updated. Important If you have not received your new card by Wed., Oct. 31, please call us at (See page 14 for further ATM, card and PIN information.) If you currently make automatic payments using your CBT Debit Card, please notify the applicable merchants of your new Berkshire Bank CBT Region MasterCard Debit Card number effective Mon., Nov. 5. Personal and Small Business Internet Banking Your existing CBT Quick Account Access online banking ID and password will expire on Fri., Nov. 2 at 4:00 pm EST. Beginning Mon., Nov. 5, if you are a current CBT Quick Account Access user, your User ID will remain the same in lower case (case sensitive) and your new temporary password will be the last four digits of your Social Security Number (SSN). TAKE ACTION First Time Log In Beginning Mon., Nov. 5, if you are a current CBT Quick Access online banking user, you can access your online banking at berkshirebank.com using your same user ID in lower case (case sensitive). Your temporary password will be the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number (SSN) or Tax ID Number (TIN). You will be prompted to change your temporary password at this initial login. You may also be prompted to change your User ID if your current CBT ID does not conform to the following requirements: User ID must be 6-20 characters long and contain both a letter and a number. Also, you will be prompted to set up an additional security feature called Secure Sign On. (See page 11 for details.) Any previous bookmarks or favorites will need to be updated to the new berkshirebank.com URL. 13 Account Access and Information (cont.) New level of security in online banking Personal and Small Business Online Banking users will now have a powerful new way to reduce fraud. It s called Secure Sign On. Protecting your online information is a top priority for us. TAKE ACTION For security purposes, upon your first login, you will be prompted to enroll in Secure Sign On. Three simple steps to online safety With Secure Sign On, you simply choose an image, write a brief phrase and select four challenge questions. When you access online banking, your personalized image and phrase will be displayed to validate that the website is legitimate, not a phony site used by a hacker trying to get your personal information. If you log in from a computer that is not recognized, you will be prompted to answer your challenge questions before you may access your account information. The new system provides added safety by helping us to identify you and prevent unauthorized access to your accounts. Your enhanced security begins Mon., Nov. 5, when you log in to online banking and follow the instructions to set up your phrase and challenge questions. 1. Choose an image. 2. Write a personal phrase. 3. Select four challenge questions. WATCH FOR Berkshire Bank will never ask you in an , text, or by telephone for your address, password or challenge question answers. Bill Pay Through Personal and Business Internet Banking Bill Pay with CBT will end on Thurs., Nov. 1 at 8:00 pm EST to ensure delivery of all payments to your payees over the next week and during conversion weekend. Your Bill Pay history and nicknames will transition to the new system. WATCH FOR TAKE ACTION Do not re-establish payments before Bill Pay history converts on or after Fri., Nov. 9. If you have multiple accounts, you will need to verify that your primary funding account has transitioned properly before making your first payment. On Mon., Nov. 5, begin using Berkshire Bank s Bill Payment available at berkshirebank.com. Select Personal Banking and Small Business Login to access your new Bill Payment services. 11

What You Need To Know About Bill Pay Prior To Conversion Weekend All payments scheduled prior to and on Thurs., Nov. 1 for processing will occur without future interruption. Important Your recurring payments will convert after your first login. Please log in after Mon., Nov. 5 to review and confirm. Your prior Bill Payment history will be available for you to view after Fri., Nov. 9. You may print or download your activity before Thurs., Nov. 1 for your records. What You Need To Know About Bill Pay After Conversion Weekend Berkshire Bank is a Due Date Driven bill payment provider. This means the date you select for your payment will be the earliest date that we guarantee your payment will arrive to your payee. Berkshire Bank will withdraw the funds from the account on the date that the payment should be sent electronically via the Automatic Clearing Housing (ACH). If a check is created to make the payment on your behalf, the funds will be withdrawn from your account on the date the cashed check from the payee reaches Berkshire Bank. All of the payees you have previously set up in Bill Pay will convert to the new system with no necessary action required. Additionally, any scheduled payments you have previously set up in Bill Pay will also carry over. If you have payments scheduled to be paid Mon., Nov. 5 or after, there will be no interruption in that service. Bill Payments will be processed as scheduled. Bill Pay limits will be: $9, per transaction, $19, per day. The date that is generated when you select your payee will be the earliest date on which we guarantee that your payee will receive payment. If the first available payment date is the next day, you may assume that your payment will be sent electronically as an ACH. If the next available date is four business days, this means that the payment most likely will be traveling by paper check. Therefore, it is best practice to always schedule your payments at least four business days in advance of the due date. Quicken Important If you are a current Quicken user, you will need to back up your current CBT data before 5:30 pm EST on Thurs., Nov. 1. On or after Mon., Nov. 5, you will need to activate Berkshire Bank as your new financial institution. Detailed information about using Quicken is available at berkshirebank.com/quicken. 12

15 Account Access and Information (cont.) FinanceWorks To help you manage your money, Berkshire Bank provides, at no cost, FinanceWorks. This is an online financial management tool available through Personal/Small Business Internet Banking. Now you can see where every dollar has been and where it s going with FinanceWorks, free with Personal and Small Business Internet Banking. FinanceWorks shows you the activity of every account, loan, investment, bill and credit card you have, from Berkshire Bank and beyond, on one web page. It s a new way to think about your money, allowing you to make more informed financial decisions. Telephone Banking NEW We have made it easier than ever to perform routine banking tasks or get your questions answered with telephone banking. Using Telephone Banking First Time Access When the new system is available on Mon., Nov. 5, you will need your account number(s) to log in. Your PIN will be the last four digits of the primary account holder s Social Security Number (SSN) or business Tax Identification Number (TIN). (The primary account holder is the first person listed on your accounts.) You will be required to change your PIN. You can do that easily by following the voice prompts. For security, every account number will require a PIN. Please communicate your selected PIN to other authorized users. We recommend that you change your PIN regularly for security purposes. 13

19 Your Berkshire Bank Business Accounts (cont.) Security Token for ACH and Wires Berkshire Bank will originate electronic credits and debits through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network, including direct deposit of payroll, Federal and State tax payments, fund transfers between bank accounts, dues collection, and more. ACH transactions can be initiated through a variety of delivery channels, including online banking, or through a vendor such as a payroll company. As an extra layer of security, Berkshire Bank offers tokens as well as multiple approval level for customers who are initiating ACH and/or wires. With your token you will be presented with a prompt and required to enter an 8 character secure PIN of your choosing, plus a token code (6 digit number) response when approving ACH, wires, or Positive Pay. Quickbooks Important If you are a current business Quickbooks user, we strongly recommend that you upload your latest data before 4:00 pm EST on Fri., Nov. 2. On or after Mon., Nov. 5, you will need to activate Berkshire Bank as your new financial institution. Detailed information about using Quickbooks is at berkshirebank.com/quickbooks. Federal Tax Deposits The Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) is a free services from the U.S. Department of the Treasury and available from the Berkshire Bank website (Business Resources Tax Payment Service). All Federal taxes can be paid using EFTPS. You can make payments via the U.S. Department of Treasury s website, a voice response system, or special channels designed for tax professionals, payroll services, and financial institutions. Account Reconciliations Keeping track of your account activity has never been easier. Online Banking lets you view and audit checking account balances and detail debits and credits including paid checks, deposits, incoming/ outgoing wires, ACH credits/debits, and more. Positive Pay Positive Pay is a fraud detection system that looks at checks issued and matches them against checks coming into the bank and clearing against your account. If the amount or check number does not match, we notify you and you decide to pay or return the check. Positive Pay is just another easy-to-use part of our comprehensive cash management line of products. 17

20 Your Berkshire Bank Business Accounts (cont.) ACH Positive Pay This service returns all ACH items for a designated account, except those that are pre-authorized by the customer. Maximum dollar limits, maximum occurrences and time frames can be set as well. Merchant Services Our Merchant Services are provided through a strategic partnership that offers a single focus of working with our clients to provide an efficient, reliable merchant service program. Whether you are a specialty, general retail, lodging, restaurant, mail order, or Internet business, we can provide you with premier merchant credit card processing, including staff training, 24/7 Help Desk service, easy-to-read statements and competitive pricing. We work with you to determine what you need, structure a program that is tailored to your business and provide complete processing services and support. Business Credit Cards Our family of Visa Business credit cards offers the flexibility to separate business from personal expenses, access to free spending reports and the purchasing power you need to manage your business, all with the security that comes with every Visa Business card. 21 General Information 100% Depositor Protection With Combination of FDIC and DIF (Depositors Insurance Fund) When you bank with Berkshire Bank, all combined deposits with both CBT and Berkshire Bank above the FDIC limit of $250,000 per depositor are insured in full, regardless of amount, based on a combinations of FDIC and the Depositors Insurance Fund (DIF). DIF is a private, industry-sponsored insurance fund that insures all deposits above FDIC limits at Massachusetts-chartered savings banks. As a Massachusetts-based bank with a Massachusetts, New York, Vermont and Connecticut footprint, Berkshire Bank is able to offer this additional insurance to all of its customers. DIF insurance coverage requires no applications or special forms. Depositors automatically receive this added insurance benefit at no cost whenever they make a deposit to a new or existing account at Berkshire Bank. In addition, the convenience of Courtesy Pay SM may be available for your ATM transactions and Debit Card purchases as well. If you have any questions regarding the use of overdraft protection, contact us at Further Overdraft Information We offer most of our customers the protection of overdrawing their account from time to time, because life doesn t always go according to plan. If you have opted in for Debit Card protection with CBT, your options will remain the same with Berkshire Bank CBT Region. Rather than automatically returning funds unpaid, we may pay any reasonable non-sufficient funds items that you may have, without obligation on our part, as long as you maintain your account in good standing. If you currently receive a monthly check for the interest from your account, that service will continue without interruption. Home Equity Line Of Credit Checks If you currently access your home equity line of credit with checks, please continue using your current supply provided by CBT, even after the conversion to Berkshire Bank.
