3 Key Dates Here are important dates in our move to Hanscom Federal Credit Union s systems. May 15 May 31 May 31, 2013 (Friday) Important items arriving in your mailbox Your new Hanscom FCU Checks, ATM Card or VISA ATM & Check Card (Debit Card) will be mailed to you. Your Personal Identification Number (PIN) for your ATM Card or VISA ATM & Check Card will arrive in a separate mailing. Branch Closed North Shore Manufacturers FCU branch will be closed to begin the transition process. Online Banking History On-Line Banking Service will no longer be available after May 31,2013. NSMFCU transaction history will not transfer to Hanscom FCU Online Access HD. Statements You will receive your final NSMFCU statement dated May 31, 2013 in printed format in early June. estatements estatements will not transfer to Hanscom FCU Online Access HD. To retain copies of your estatements, log on to On-Line Banking Service and access your statements through the Statement tab. PDF files are available to view, print or save to your computer or another location prior to May 31, Card Access Last day to use your NSMFCU ATM or MasterCard Debit Card. June 1, 2013 (Saturday) Systems Conversion Your NSMFCU accounts will be transferred to Hanscom FCU accounts with the same or comparable features. If you prefer a different account, please contact us and we will be happy to review all of your options. ATM Card, Visa ATM & Check Card and Personal Checks Activate and begin using your new Hanscom FCU Visa ATM & Check Card or ATM Card. Begin using your new Hanscom FCU Checks. Online Banking Go to to enroll in Online Access HD. Watch our short video for instructions ( June 4, 2013 (Monday) Welcome! The Beverly office will reopen as a branch of Hanscom Federal Credit Union. You can now access any Hanscom FCU office and over 7,000 CU Service Centers nationwide and thousands of surcharge free ATM locations. 1

4 General Account Information What is my new member number? Your new member number is printed on your member card which is attached to the enclosed welcome letter. What is your routing number? Hanscom FCU s routing number is Your existing direct deposit will automatically be converted. Please use routing number for any new direct deposit/withdrawals after June 1, What is the balance required to be a member of Hanscom FCU? A $25 balance in your Prime Share Savings account keeps your membership active. So that you don t accidentally close your membership, your available balance will reflect a hold of $25. If your balance is less than $25, you are currently below the requirement. You have until November 30, 2013 to meet the minimum. Will my accounts continue to be insured by NCUA? Yes. Your funds (including Checking, Savings and Certificates) are insured up to $250,000. IRA accounts are insured, separately from other accounts, up to $250,000 per institution, including principal and posted dividends. For more details visit the NCUA web site at: ncua.gov/ins/ or call us. Will the fees change? Most likely, your fees will decrease. Please refer to the enclosed Account Fee Schedule for details. When will I receive my new disclosures? Enclosed in this mailing you ll find all of your new disclosures. Please read and retain them for your records. 5 Savings Accounts What will happen to my direct deposit, transfers, allocations and pre-authorized payments? Your full direct deposit will go into your designated account. If you have scheduled transfers or allocations, they will be executed per your original instructions. How are dividends paid? Dividends for savings are compounded daily and paid monthly. Dividends for regular and IRA term share certificates are compounded monthly and credited to your certificate balance on the last day of the month. Will my Certificate Rates be affected? No. Rates on certificate accounts will remain unchanged until maturity. You will receive a reminder letter notifying you of that as the maturity date approaches. This letter will include additional information for renewal options. Does Hanscom FCU offer savings accounts specifically geared for kids? Yes. Kids CU is geared for children age 16 and under. Three age-appropriate clubs provide tools and help you teach your children or grandchildren about money. When will I receive tax reporting information? Tax reporting forms 1098 and 1099 will be mailed to you by January 31, 2014 and will combine the amounts earned/paid for the entire year. How can I find the most current savings rates? Please visit or call What will happen to my Individual Retirement Account? Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) will transfer to Hanscom FCU. Account activity will appear on your statement. Dividends will now be compounding monthly and credited to your account on the last day of the month. 3

7 Checks, ATM Cards, ATM & Check Cards You will receive a complimentary order of checks. New Hanscom FCU checks will arrive in mid-may. North Shore Manufacturers FCU checks written before June 1, 2013 will be processed through December 31, Begin using your new Hanscom FCU checks on June 1, Please destroy your remaining North Shore Manufacturers FCU checks. You will receive a new ATM Card If you have a North Shore Manufacturers FCU ATM Card that has been active since April 30, 2012, you will be mailed a new Hanscom FCU ATM Card in mid-may. Instructions for activating and using your new ATM Card will be included with the card. Your assigned Personal Identification Number (PIN) will be mailed in a separate mailing prior to receiving the card. The mailer will contain instructions on selecting your own PIN. You will receive a new VISA ATM & Check Card If you have a North Shore Manufacturers FCU MasterCard Debit Card, you will be mailed a new Hanscom FCU Visa ATM & Check Card in mid-may. Instructions for activating and using your new card will be included with the card. Your assigned Personal Identification Number (PIN) will be mailed in a separate mailing prior to receiving the card. The mailer will contain instructions on selecting your own PIN. Activate and begin using your new Hanscom FCU Visa ATM & Check Card on June 1, Your daily limits: ATM withdrawal limit is $500 Purchase limit is $2, % Fraud Protection. You are automatically covered by Visa s Zero Liability. If your card is lost or stolen and is used for transactions, either in person or online, you will not be responsible for fraudulent activity. Activate and begin using your new Hanscom FCU ATM Card on June 1,

8 Account Management What about statements? You will receive a final statement from North Shore Manufacturers FCU in June for the period ending May 31, Your first Hanscom FCU statement will be dated June, What about estatements? How should I handle direct deposit, payroll deductions, automatic payments, credits or debits to my account? We will notify all companies and institutions that make direct deposits into or deductions from your account. However, it is a good idea to verify with them that your changes have been noted. estatements will not transfer to Hanscom FCU Online Access HD. To retain copies of your estatements, log on to On-Line Banking Service and access your statements through the Statement tab. 9 Online Access HD How do I access my Account(s) online? To login: Go to Use the link entitled New to Online Access HD? Click here to Enroll. You will need your new member number which is shown on your new membership card in the Welcome Kit. Your new member number will start with the number 4. Your initial X-TEL Password to access Online Access HD will be mailed to you if you have registered and accessed your account between February 22, March 31, To request an X-TEL Password please contact us beginning on June 4, What features or services are available with Online Access HD? Notifications and Alerts Receive notifications of your balances, cleared checks, maturing certificates and more. Online Statements We will start building a seven year archive for you beginning on June 1st. Deposit checks online with EasyDeposit Make secure check deposits 24/7 from any computer and scanner with our EasyDeposit service. Once entered, you will be asked to create a Login ID and a new online password. Once enrolled you will be able to use Online Access HD. Please note: It is important that we have your current contact information on file. You will not be able to complete a first time enrollment or register your computer without at least one valid contact on file. 10 Consumer Loans What will happen to my loan(s)? The terms of your closed-end consumer loan will remain unchanged. Will automatic transfer payments continue? Yes. Automatic transfers from your checking or savings account will continue as scheduled. Can I repay my loan automatically? Yes. The amount of your monthly payment can be transferred from your account and applied to your loan balance on your loan payment due date. How do I make my loan payments? If you are mailing your payments, please send to: Hanscom Federal Credit Union 1610 Eglin Street Hanscom AFB, MA If you use a bill payment service or send payment from another financial institution, please update your account number and payment address with your bill pay service or financial institution. You can also make loan payments with Online Access HD, our free home banking service. Just transfer funds from your savings or checking account to your loan account. You can also set up future and recurring payments.

11 General Information Are money orders available at Hanscom FCU? Yes, money orders are available up to $1,000 at any branch location and at CU Service Centers. See the enclosed fee schedule for fee information. Does Hanscom FCU offer free Notary Service? Yes, at most branch locations. Will all branch locations have American Express Traveler s Cheques available? Yes. Can I purchase or redeem U.S. Savings Bonds? As of January 1, 2012, paper savings bonds are no longer sold at financial institutions. You may redeem bonds at all branch locations. Where are branches located?
