William Paterson University - Wayne, NJ 1996 to 2002 Associate Vice President Academic Affairs, Chief Information Officer (Clo) and Professor (tenured): The position was a Faculty Administrator position serving as ClO, which included a dual tenured appointment as Professor in Department of Communications and Professor of the Library, with teaching responsibilities for communication research foundations courses. This position was responsible for reviews and recommendations for both tenure and promotion. Administration of the Cheng Library, teaching and learning faculty development, instructional design services, Distance Learning support services, WebCT LMS System, satellite uplink and downlink operations for all of Higher Education in the State of New Jersey, Information Research and Technology (academic computing and research computing), overseeing migration from SCT Plus to Banner Migration for Finance (FRS), Student (SIS), Financial Aid (FAIvI), and Human Resources (HRS) Information Technology leadership responsibilities included the Division of Information Systems (administrative computing and systems administration)and the Division of Network and Hardware Services. Administrative responsibilities included teaching and learning strategic planning, information technology strategic planning, and fundraising ($1 million Cheng Library naming gift). An additional responsibility included leading the creation and formation of the Virtual Academic Library Environment consortium for New Jersey Higher Education (VALE)and serving as Executive Director of the consortium. Mississippi State University - Starkville, MS 1991 to 1996 Dean of Libraries and Professor (tenured): The Dean s portfolio included serving as a Faculty Administrator with doctoral dissertation committee member and minor advisor responsibilities for the Department of Educational Leadership in the College of Education. Administrative responsibilities included administrative reviews and recommendations for both tenure and promotion. Administration of University Libraries included the Mitchell Memorial Library, the Architecture Library, and the

The Dean s position was responsible for management of faculty and support staff personnel, facilities design and construction, strategic planning, automated systems and budgets, and working with the Office of Research on EPSC0R and SUR Digital Dissertations, Theses, and Technical Report initiatives. Fund raising responsibilities included $3.3 million. Facilities planning responsibilities included the design and construction of 160,000 sq. ft addition to Mitchell Memorial Library, redesign of the College of Veterinary Medicine Library, and the School of Architecture Library. Radford University - Radford, VA University Librarian and Associate Professor: Faculty rank of Associate Professor in College of Education teaching graduate courses and serving as a member of the Graduate Faculty. The position was responsible for administration of library services, fund raising, CLSI library computer systems, development of CD ROM Novell network, and educational media services. Oversight of strategic planning, facilities planning and design for 80,000 sq. ft. addition to McConnell Library, developing automated library systems, microcomputer systems, and CD-ROM applications. University service included serving as Chair of the University s Strategic Planning Committee. This position also served as liaison with University Foundation for fund raising.
