Managed the operation of 12 associate degree, diploma and certificate level allied health programs operated jointly by Trident Technical College and the Medical University of South Carolina. Responsible for recommending hiring of, and evaluating the performance of, all full-time and part-time faculty. Constructed and managed a division budget in excess of two million dollars. Reviewed propriety and cost-effectiveness of program operations and produced detailed annual program evaluation reports. Managed educational program compliance with appropriate state and federal laws and accrediting body standards. Served as the College's liaison to state medical, dental, and nursing boards. Developed and participated in institutional marketing and recruitment efforts in middle and secondary schools and in community education initiatives in other institutions such as hospitals and nursing homes. Served as the college s representative to various community organizations and statewide planning bodies. Developed and successfully defended before the SC State Board of Nursing and the SC State Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education, the only Associate Degree Nursing program proposal ever written by a non-nurse in South Carolina Chair, Life Sciences Department to Trident Technical College 1978 Charleston, South Carolina Taught human anatomy, physiology and biochemistry courses, scheduled classes, coordinated course offerings with other departments, constructed and administered department budget. Superintended quality and propriety of all department course offerings. Proposed and implemented department goals and objectives.
