Coordinated the College s First Year Seminar Program which consisted of 24 sections offered per year,

Served as the faculty adviser to the Dean s Leadership Council/College Student Council. Assisted students in leadership activities, community service projects, retreat planning, and issues related to technology fees as set by the College and University. Feb Aug Colorado State University Fort Collins, Colorado Assistant Professor College of Applied Human s and College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Provided instructional design consultation to faculty and staff specifically in the areas of teaching and learning in the traditional classroom and laboratory. Assisted faculty in use of technology to enhance teaching and learning. Served on various committees related to curriculum and technology issues at both the college and university levels. Developed and gave presentation based on andragogical theory. Also taught undergraduate courses for the School of Education in the area of Teacher Licensure. Aug Feb Colorado State University Fort Collins, Colorado Office of Coordinator of Alternative Learning (Instructional Design and Distance Education) Coordinated faculty development activities including training for teaching by television (video), administration of four major university awards, management of faculty exchange programs, organization of the Professional Development Institute, and consultation on a variety of instructional design issues. June 1989-Aug University of South Carolina Columbia, South Carolina Distance Education and Manager, Instructional Development and Delivery Responsibility for development, coordination, and implementation of distance education degree programs and courses delivered state and nationwide by satellite, ITFS, videocassette, and compressed video. Also coordinated teleconferences. Duties encompass all aspects of program development including marketing, recruiting, scheduling, site facilitation, materials preparation, registration, and financial management. Duties also included hiring and supervising instructional developers and graduate assistants as well as managing work flow, arranging and conducting faculty contact/training. College of Library and Information Coordinated the distance education Master of Library and Information program delivered by ITFS in South Carolina and by satellite in Maine, West Virginia, and Georgia. Worked with and trained faculty teaching by television. Scheduled courses for delivery and coordinated with administrators, facilitators, and students at distance learning sites. Served as Instructional Consultant in production of courses for videocassette delivery. Also assisted in teaching research methods courses. College of Education Coordinated distance education courses delivered by ITFS in South Carolina and served as Instructional Consultant and script writer for courses delivered

3 by videocassette. Also presented sessions on distance education and alternative delivery methods each semester. College of Social Work Coordinated delivery of the first year of the Masters of Social Work by ITFS. Consulted with faculty members and students. Assisted in production of course materials study guides and readings packets. Served as consultant appearing on national teleconferences about Social Work programs and alternative delivery methods. University Program for High School Seniors Supervised staff who developed and implemented university level courses delivered in high schools throughout South Carolina. Courses were taught by university approved high school instructors. Materials were prepared and training was delivered to these course instructors by university faculty members. Students completing courses received University of South Carolina credit. This credit could be transferred to all other universities and colleges in the state. The program also served as a recruiting mechanism for the university. Aug Jun Lexington High School Lexington, South Carolina Teacher, High School English Taught English to freshmen-seniors. Designed, developed and implemented an honors level class for freshmen. Organized and advised the freshmen and sophomore level Honor Society and assisted with a variety of student organizations.
