3 2 BärenTicket for mobility for those in the prime of life Are you in the prime of life and would like to remain mobile at all times? Do you prefer to travel in comfort in first class while enjoying your independence? Then we recommend the BärenTicket from the age of 60 and up. 4 3 Information in real time: The up-to-date timetable With the electronic timetable information you can create your own individual timetable whether on your PC at home or when out and about with your mobile telephone. The free VRR app for Smartphones informs you in real time about the actual state of your connections and any problems this can be found in the App Store and in the Android Market. With an Internet-enabled mobile phone you also have access to the electronic timetable. The only requirement is that your mobile telephone is WAP-enabled and has been activated for it. Simply enter the WAP or PDA address for timetable information ready! More detailed information on this can be found on the Internet. Finding the right ticket with just a few clicks: The ticket adviser Do you have any questions about the different types of tickets and are looking for the right tariff? Then take advantage of the ticket adviser on the Internet. Simply enter your starting point and destination and the ticket adviser will calculate the right fare category. 6 5 Price level C covers the medium travel range: It is valid in two neighbouring so-called central tariff zones (corresponding to a town/city or several smaller cities and communities) and as a rule in all adjacent tariff zones and sometimes even further. As a rule, trips that go beyond price level C are covered by price level D. This is divided up into two regions: The D North Region and the D South Region. The tickets of price level E are valid throughout the VRR region. Convenient and safe: The eticket All subscriptions are available within the VRR as counterfeit and tamper-proof etickets in credit card format. All of the data stored on the chip such as ticket features, or in the case of personalised tickets the details of the individual can be read out through the use of special non-contact control devices. These devices are used by the inspectors on the public transport vehicles and are permanently installed in the entrance area of many buses. In this way the transport company can see immediately whether the ticket is valid, invalid or suspended. The data that has been read out is deleted again immediately after being checked, so that customer data protection is ensured at all times.

8 7 In the case of delay: The Mobility Guarantee Disruption to operations, vehicle and equipment malfunctions, traffic congestion, illegal parking and similar incidents can lead to delays to buses, trains and trams. Nevertheless, we guarantee your mobility. Our mobility guarantee enables you to take a taxi or train for which a surcharge has to be paid (IC/EC or ICE) to your destination. We reimburse your additional costs up to 50 Euros the wohle day if the means of transport chosen by you leaves your stop more than 20 minutes later than originally shown on the timetable and there is no obvious alternative bus or rail route to your destination. The mobility guarantee does not apply to delays resulting from strikes and acts of God (e.g. forces of nature, bomb threats etc.). You only need to submit an application for reimbursement of the costs. The corresponding form is available from your transport company or on the Internet. Certified excellence The BärenTicket is supported by well-known institutions: The Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft der Senioren-Organisationen e.v. (Federal Association of Senior Citizens Organizations - BAGSO) and die Deutsche Seniorenliga e.v. (German Senior Citizens League - DSL) have taken a close look at the ticket and found it to be "highly recommendable".
