Whether you use public transport regularly or sporadically, whether you are travelling alone or in a group, whether you want a season ticket or one with a time limit: our extensive product line of special, single, one-day, and time tickets, all of which are covered in this brochure, provides a tailor-made answer for any individual requirement possible. Our tickets can be used in many different ways: each ESWE Verkehr ticket is always a ticket of the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsbund (RMV), meaning you can use it for all means of local public transport within the RMV fare zone 65 (Wiesbaden/Mainz). So, not only can you use the ESWE Verkehr and MVG (Mainzer Verkehrsgesellschaft) city buses and die MVG city trams, but also the local RTV (Rheingau-Taunus-Verkehrsgesellschaft) buses, the regional RMV buses, as well as the regional rail services, that is, S-Bahn trains and regional trains. The principle of individual mobility also applies to the geographic validity of your tickets: fare zone 65 not only includes the immediate areas of the two state capitals Wiesbaden and Mainz, but also numerous town and municipality areas in their surroundings both on the Hesse and the Rhineland-Palatinate side (more on this on page 6 of this brochure). 6 6 Tickets and Fares Transport networks and surrounding areas Travelling within the entire fare zone 65v All tickets introduced in this brochure are valid for local transport in the entire RMV fare zone 65. It includes not only the two state capitals Wiesbaden and Mainz, but also on the Hessian side the municipality Bischofsheim, the town Ginsheim-Gustavsburg, the town Hochheim am Main (including its borough Massenheim), the Hofheim borough Wallau (albeit only its parts located West of the motorway A 3), as well as the municipality Walluf. On the Rhineland-Palatinate side, the municipality Wackernheim and Zornheim are also part of fare zone 65. Convenient travel to the surrounding areas: tickets tailored to your needs You can find the fares for journeys to neighbouring RMV fare zones in the fares overview on page 7. For single journeys to farther surrounding areas, the best thing to do is ask your bus driver. For more frequent journeys to the surrounding areas, we are happy to advise you at our Mobilitätszentrale* (mobility centre) or our Mobilitätsinfos* (mobility info points). Travel for free: the clever co-passenger tickets According to the co-passenger regulation valid across the entire RMV, holders of adult fare time tickets (weekly, monthly and annual tickets, including 9-o clock and 65-plus tickets) as well as Job- Tickets and FirmenCards with co-passenger regulation can take along one adult and an unlimited number of children under 15 years free of charge on Mondays through Fridays from 7 p.m., and all day on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays as well as on December 24th and 31st. In addition to that, according to the extended co-passenger regulation of the VMW (Verkehrsbund Mainz-Wiesbaden), holders of the time tickets mentioned above (but excluding JobTickets and FirmenCards) can also take along all of their own or up to three other children under 15 years free of charge on Mondays through Fridays during the daytime (until 7 p.m.). This VMW regulation is valid in the entire fare zone 65 (Wiesbaden/Mainz) for all means of RMV transport, that is for bus and rail services (excluding IC and ICE trains). If the ticket holder is a child (six to 14 years), the extended VMW co-passenger regulation does not apply. Commute cheaply with ESWE Verkehr and the city of Taunusstein The Taunussteiner UmweltKarte (TUK: Taunusstein eco ticket) is the budget- and eco-friendly way across the Platte and the Eiserne Hand! Thanks to a cooperation between the city of Taunusstein and ESWE Verkehr, all citizens of Taunusstein and Wiesbaden commuting between the two towns receive a discount of up to 30 %.
