1 OUTBOUND MISSION TO EXPO MILAN AND LOMBARDY September 14 th - 19 th, 2015 The Italy-America Chamber of Commerce Southeast (IACC) is organizing a fully-escorted tour of Milan and the Lombardy Region in occasion of the WORLD EXPO The theme chosen for this edition of the EXPO is Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life which will focus on nutrition and the gastronomic tradition of several countries, as well as new technologies that respect our planet. The exposition site covers over 110 hectares (272 acres) and is expected to attract more than 20 million visitors. For further information about the 2015 Milano World Expo, please visit The tour will include not only a visit to the Expo fairground but also business meetings and networking sessions with members of local business associations such as Assolombarda (Association of Industries in Lombardy) and the Chambers of Commerce of the cities of Mantua and Como. Specifically the IACC will organize roundtables about U.S. market targeting Italian companies interested in exporting and investing in America. Moreover, during the trip the delegation will have the opportunity to enjoy guided tours to some of the most iconic places in Lombardy Region such as Milan Shopping District, Lake Como, the village of Bellagio, and the Renaissance historic city of Mantua. This is a great opportunity to discover Italy from a different perspective and take advantage of the business connections of the Chamber.

2 Travel Program Day 1 - Monday 14 th - Arrival at Milan Malpensa airport and lodging to four stars Hotel in the city s center; - Free day - Welcome dinner for the delegation in a typical Milanese restaurant. Day 2 - Tuesday 15 th - All day tour to Expo Milan with special focus on Italian and American Pavilions. - Evening free. Day 3 - Wednesday 16 th - Round table/seminar about Florida market at Assolombarda (Association of industries in Lombardy) with members of Assolombarda interested in exporting and investing in the U.S. - Afternoon/evening free. Day 4 - Thursday 17 th - Transfer to Mantua by private coach - Round table/seminar about Florida market with members of Mantua Chamber of Commerce interested in exporting and investing in U.S. - Guided tour of the historic center of the city (one of the Renaissance capitals of Italy); - Return to Milan. Day 5 - Friday 18 th - Transfer to Como by private coach - Round table/seminar about Florida market with members of Chamber of Commerce of Como interested in exporting and investing in the U.S. - Boat tour of Lake Como, including visit to the town of Bellagio and lunch on a restaurant on the lakeside; - Return to Milan. Day 6 - Saturday 19 th - Flight to Miami

3 Milan Milan is the second-most populous city in Italy, and the main industrial, commercial, and financial centre of the country as well as a leading global city. It also represents a major design and world fashion hub. There is no doubt that a metropolis like this has lots of attractions and points of interest: from the boutiques of Via Monte Napoleone and the breathtaking view from the Duomo s roof, to the Teatro alla Scala operas. Expo 2015 The Universal Exposition, taking place in Milan between May 1 st and October 31 st, will be held under the theme Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life and it will focus on technology, innovation, culture, traditions and creativity and how they relate to food and diet. Moreover, the Expo 2015 will develop themes introduced by previous Expos in regards to new global scenarios and emerging issues (e.g. the right of securing sufficient food for all world s inhabitants) and technologies that respect the planet.

4 Mantua The city of Mantua, located in the southeastern part of the Lombardy Region, is an important artistic, cultural, not only the North of Italy, but also of the country as a whole. The city is known for its architectural treasures and artifacts, elegant palaces, and the medieval and Renaissance cityscape. Its economy is strong in sectors such as textile, fashion, furniture, food & beverage, machineries

5 Como Located in the northwestern part of the Lombardy Region Lake Como has been a popular retreat for aristocrats and wealthy people since Roman times, and a very popular tourist attraction with many artistic and cultural gems. Lake Como is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful lakes in Europe. The city of Como and the surrounding area is well known for its textile and furniture companies. The Tour Program includes: - Participation to business meetings and networking sessions with members local industry associations (Lombardy is one of the most industrialized and prosperous regions in Europe). - Double or twin bedded room.
