3 In Lech, we will be returning, for the third time, to the 4-star deluxe Hotel der Berghof, centrally located just above the main street. Proudly owned and managed by Isabella and Stefan Burger, the hotel features luxurious mountain décor, a gourmet restaurant, spacious bar/lounge, ski and boot storage room and spa. The Bergquell Spa contains a fitness/gym area, different saunas, steam room, cold water basins, infrared treatments, and a relaxation area with juice and tea bar. Massages and beauty treatments are available for a fee. There is a private elevator to take guests between the hotel and the village street. Free WIFI access is available throughout the hotel. An extensive buffet breakfast and 6-course gourmet dinner with choice of courses is included. All guest rooms contain private bathroom with hair dryer and deluxe Ortiga bath products, sitting area, satellite-tv, mini bar, phone, safe, CD player with selection of music, bathrobe and slippers. Following your 7 days in Lech, the package includes 1 night in Munich at the 4-star Mercure Hotel Munich City Center. It has 167 rooms and is just 109 yards from the main train station. The hotel features a main restaurant, La Scene, for international specialties, the Biergarten in the courtyard for typical Bavarian dishes, and a bar. All guest rooms have TV, minibar, coffee/tea maker, radio, safe, telephone and free WIFI. The bathrooms have a shower/tub and hair dryer. Note: The package begins on Saturday, January 23, with the group motor coach transfer from your Munich hotel to Lech. This transfer will depart at approximately 10:00 a.m., so it is not possible for you to arrive on a flight that morning. You must arrive in Munich no later than Friday, January 22. If you are participating in the International Conference prior to the ski week, you will need to extend your stay at the conference hotel through Friday night. 4 LAND PACKAGE PRICING DETAILS Per person package prices shown on page 2 are based on the current exchange rate (as of April 2, 2015). The dollar s value against the Euro has varied widely over the past months. It is currently the strongest it has been in many years. There is no guarantee how long this favorable exchange rate will continue. You may pay in full at any time to lock in an exchange rate. If you wait to pay the deposit and/or final payment until the due dates, the amounts due may be higher or lower, and your invoice will be adjusted. When you sign up for the trip with the tour operator, the payment options will be explained so you can make the choice that is best for you. You may pay by check or credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express). Package prices are based on a minimum group size of 15 participants. Motor coach transfers and hotel rates are based on a minimum group size of 15 people. The departure transfer, by taxi, from the Munich hotel to the Munich Airport is based on two to three people sharing the transfer. If someone needs an individual taxi transfer, there will be a surcharge of approximately $87, depending on exchange rate. There are no refunds for unused group transfers. Should group size fall between 10 and 14 paying participants, a surcharge of approximately $90 per person will apply, depending on exchange rate. Should group size reach 21 or more participants, there will be a price REDUCTION of approximately $185 per person, depending on exchange rate. After this date, the hotel will not guarantee rooms that are not on deposit. FINAL PAYMENT Final payment is due to Snow Tours no later than DECEMBER 14, CANCELLATION POLICY Prior to OCTOBER 16, 2015, a cancellation fee of $150 per person will be charged. From OCTOBER 16 departure, all payments are non-refundable unless refunds can be negotiated with hotels. Sometimes partial refunds can be negotiated, depending on the date of cancellation and the ability of the hotels to resell the rooms. AIR ARRANGEMENTS Snow Tours will be happy to assist you with your airfare needs. You are also welcome to obtain your own airline tickets. In order to coordinate transfers to Lech on 23JAN and from the Munich hotel to the airport on 31JAN, it is important that you inform Snow Tours of your air travel plans PRIOR to purchasing your ticket. 04 LIFT PASSES Lift passes are NOT included in the package price and will be purchased by participants directly at the ski area. The hotel front desk sells the lift passes. Below are prices for the 2014/15 season. Prices for the 2015/16 season are not yet available. The Ski Arlberg pass includes access to all 97 cable cars in the Arlberg region (Lech, Zürs, Warth, Zug, Oberlech, St. Anton, St. Christoph and Stuben), 154 miles of marked, groomed runs, and nearly endless miles of off-piste, ungroomed terrain. A free ski bus runs between Lech and Zürs. Bus transportation between Lech and the other areas on the pass is available for a small charge. A 6-day adult Ski Arlberg pass costs Euro 245 (approx. $270). A 6-day senior (born 1951 or earlier) Ski Arlberg pass costs Euro 213 (approx. $234). In addition, there is a Euro 5 refundable deposit for the hands-free lift card. Passes must be used on consecutive days.
