2 Course Information Course Overview As healthcare continues to evolve, it is imperative for educational professionals to embrace technology and innovative strategies. This conference is directed toward those who participate in the education and professional development of nurses and clinical staff. This one-day conference will provide continuing education that addresses a variety of teaching strategies such as blended learning and the process of delivering education. General Information The conference will be held on the first floor of the Ruth and Tristram Colket Jr. Translational Research Building. The registration fee is $100 and includes the conference as well as buffet breakfast, lunch, snacks and parking. As part of our green initiative, syllabus material will not be distributed at the conference, but will be available online up to one week prior and two weeks following the conference. Attendees should bring a portable electronic device (smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc.) to facilitate interaction with the technology presented. Registration Preregistration is required. Utilize innovative teaching strategies and new technologies in their practice 2. Discuss methods used to assess competency and evaluate outcomes 3. Demonstrate effective communication with staff and families 4. Network with conference attendees and faculty Continuing Nursing Education Approved Provider Statement The Children s Hospital of Philadelphia is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center s Commission on Accreditation. Cancellation and Refund Policy The Children s Hospital of Philadelphia reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course due to any unforeseen circumstances. In the event of cancellation or postponement, the Hospital will refund registration fees, less a $40 service fee, but is not responsible for any related costs, charges or expenses to participants, including cancellation charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies. In order to process refunds, cancellations must be received in writing by Tuesday, May 31, No refunds will be issued thereafter.
