2 Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Friends, It is already 19th time we will have an opportunity to meet during the IGWT Symposium. The upcoming session will be hosted by Cracow University of Economics, the largest school of economics in Poland, and the third biggest university in Cracow, a major Polish academic centre. The roots trace of Cracow University of Economics back to the Commodity Science Institute founded in Through its 90 year history the Institute has changed its name several times, and currently it is one of four, fully-fledged faculties at Cracow University of Economics. You are cordially invited to take part in that most significant scientific event within the realm of quality in commodity science held biannually. You are welcome to participate in the panel and discussions as well as to enjoy the ambience of magical Cracow, the former capital of Poland. 5 Symposium materials Symposium materials will be published as a Book of Abstracts and as a Monograph*. One symposium paper is included in the registration fee to be published after peer review in the Monograph but the next one will have to be extra paid *Special note to Polish participants: 5 points are awarded for a chapter in the monograph if it comprises a minimum of characters. General selection criteria for the symposium papers include the following: Papers will be selected on the basis of their contribution and relevance to commodity science, Papers must relate to the symposium topics, Papers must not be previously published, Papers must be based on scientific research methods and contain novel information. Registration All those who wish to participate in the 19 th IGWT Symposium and wish to submit an abstract and a paper for the Symposium have to register on website: igwt2014.uek.krakow.pl in the Registration section. The registration process will start from October 1 st, Abstract and paper submission process Abstracts and papers for the 19 th IGWT Symposium are required to be uploaded electronically using website: After registration it will be possible to login in the Upload abstracts/papers section, using the address provided during registration and the chosen password. Papers titles and author(s) details should be submitted by January 31 st 2014, and complete papers by March 30 th The papers will be evaluated by the organizing committee, and the notices of review decisions (oral or poster presentations) will be ed to the authors during the first week of July, Authors who may prefer a poster presentation for their work should indicate their preference upon submission. Please do not submit abstracts and/or papers via . Use the Upload abstracts/papers section instead and contact us if you encounter any technical difficulties. Abstract style The abstracts should be written in English, characters (max one page) without spaces, single spaced, Times New Roman, with margins 2.5 cm on all sides. Abstracts shorter or exceeded required length will be rejected without assessment. The title should be written in bold capitals first, 14 points and centered. A double-line space should remain after the title. All authors names should be listed next, in bold capitals, 14 points and centered. A single-line space should remain after authors names. The authors' , institutional affiliations, including department, institution, city and country should then follow, in italics, 12 points and centered. A double-line space should remain after authors data. Main text should be written in 12 points Times New Roman. A single-line space should remain after the text. 3-5 keywords should be written in 10 points and left justified.
