2 The Conference Aim of the Conference is honoured to organize the 8th International Conference AMCM 2014 Analytical Models and New Concepts in Concrete and Masonry Structures. After successful seven previous editions of the conference taking place in Białystok (1993), Łód (1996), Wrocław/Świeradów (1999), Kraków (2002), Ustroń/Gliwice (2005), Łód (2008) and Kraków (2011) AMCM 2014 will be held in Wrocław () on June 16-18, The main aim of the Conference is to present results of the latest works in modelling and analysis of concrete and masonry structures, as well as to review new concepts and interesting projects. The three-day Conference will be filled with a variety of session formats, with a balance of research and practice to permit the widest possible participation, providing an excellent forum to exchange and share ideas in the field of concrete and masonry structures engineering. The Conference is intended for civil engineers, designers, specialists from practice, researchers and students who are interested in various subjects concerning concrete and masonry structures. The Conference Book will consist of 2-page extended paper abstracts. Accompanying Electronic Book on CD-ROM will contain full length versions of papers. Instructions for Authors Authors of accepted abstracts are kindly asked to prepare the extended abstracts (2 pages) and full length version of papers (up to 10 pages). The instructions including template files are available on the Conference website: The final contribution will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. Conference venue The Conference will take place in the Congress Centre of. The Congress Centre is located at the campus of the University, in the center of Wrocław. The venue is situated close to the major hotels, with the public transportation connections to the airport, railway and bus stations. The University has been intensively developing in recent years with a lot of new, modern investments like laboratories, buildings and a new aerial cableway over the Odra River, which connects two parts of the campus and is a touristic city attraction as well. 6 Information about Wrocław Wrocław the heart of Lower Silesia is one of the oldest and the most beautiful places in. This metropolis with over 600 thousand inhabitants concentrates diversified cultural life and multi-domain academic societies. Wrocław is also an important economic centre which continuously develops tightening relations with Europe, successively meeting new challenges coming from the whole world. The most significant progress of the city has been visible for the last several years. Its intensive infrastructural development, recently stimulated by selection of Wrocław for hosting UEFA EURO 2012, includes, among others, the erection of a modern football stadium with over 40 thousand seats, a 35-km-long motorway bypass of the city with the second largest cable-stayed bridge in, a central ring road, a new airport terminal, several hotels as well as modernization of the main railway station and the urban communication system. In 2016 Wrocław with San Sebastián (Spain) will hold the title of the European Capital of Culture.
