8 Green Light Optimal Speed Advice (pilot project) Optimal speed adaptiation On-board system calculates optimal speed range to cross intersection in green (based on position). Driver is coached to drive in the speed range Safety margins Yellow phase is not considered Some seconds as margin to cross intersection Speed limits Driver is coached to follow the limits, depending on the road segment (based on map data) Different speed limits for different road segments Can be customized, fixed or dynamic, example: max speed 50km/h for buses

9 Go:Smart (pilot project) The bus adapts to the city/environment based upon it s position using a GPS. Switch between diesel on the motorway to electric mode within the city Limit speed / drive mode depending on time of day Better usage of shared spaces Improved air quality Less noise emissions Improved safety!

(+4%) Capacity 139 passengers (+20%) Required no of buses 12,1 (-18%) Total yearly savings 169 K (Diff +562 K ) EBSF is coordinated by the International Association of Public Transport (UITP)

13 Plug-in Hybrid bus in operation! The bus is equipped with an electric motor which is powered by a lithium-ion battery. It also has a 5-litre diesel engine. Charging is done from electricity grids via a collector installed on the roof of the bus. It takes 6-10 minutes. The bus will run ~7 km at a time on electricity only silent and emission-free.
