4 Electronic Ticketing E ticketing to include the following functionality: Paper Ticket Issue on bus by bus drivers (Single and possibly other fare types) Kerbside machines to recharge smartcards at key central locations Smartcards: Zonal Fares Season Tickets Promotional Fares E Purse (on bus and office top-up) Concessions (free and part payment) Back Office & Management System Readers on Doors / Conductor Handheld readers creative minds safe hands
5 AVL / RTPI 77 Diesel / CNG buses to be Equipped Control Centre and Depot Control System Driver progress (late / on-time / early display) RTPI at all bus stops BRT Stops Central Bus Stations / 4 Terminals) (possibly 3 Line / 30 Char per line / Pole Mounted) Other Stops (smaller integrated within bespoke bus stop sign/ Possibly 3 Line / 15 Char per Line) Talking Bus Stop Facility at Certain Stops (fob triggered) 2 Displays (or more on articulated buses) on each bus (1 single line 15 char / 1 15in TFT Screen) Data entry and Reporting Software Information available on web based facility creative minds safe hands

7 Control Centre AVL Monitor showing vehicle locations across the City. This will be linked to terminals at the operators depot and/or dispatcher. RTPI Monitor will show what is displayed at any selected screen in the city and will enable messages to be sent to displays (bespoke or from a library of messages). Bus Company on bus transaction terminal (either previous day or real time depending on requirements). RTPI set up terminal. ETM Back office control systems. CCTV monitors. Voice communication with buses. This functionality will also be available at the depot and/or dispatch centre. creative minds safe hands
8 On Bus CCTV Each bus/trolley bus will need to be fitted with 4 CCTV cameras (5 for articulated buses) The data from these cameras will be digitally stored on the vehicle and can be downloaded at a later stage should there be a requirement. The data will not be over written for a minimum of 14 days. Should an emergency occur and the driver uses the panic button, then the CCTV pictures will be streamed to the control centre automatically. creative minds safe hands
