3 12 TH ANNUAL RUBBER DUCK REGATTA SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES WHAT IS UNITED REHABILITATION SERVICES? United Rehabilitation Services (URS) is a nonprofit agency with a 59-year history of serving children and adults with disabilities in the Miami Valley. URS was originally founded as the Dayton Chapter of United Cerebral Palsy and today provides programs and services each day to more than 400 local children and adults with disabilities or other special needs. Our programs promote independence, community inclusion and support for local families. For Children with Disabilities: Childcare Center (6 weeks to 6 years), Onsite Nurses for Medically Fragile Children, Latch Key Program (7 years to 17), Summer Enrichment Program, In-Home Respite Care and Parent Support Groups. For Adults with Disabilities: Adult Activity Center, Community Employment, Home-Based Personal Care, In-Home Respite Care, Vocational Center, and 2 nd Shift Vocational Program. Clinical Services: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Aquatic Therapy, Universal Exercise Unit spider cage WHAT IS THE URS RUBBER DUCK REGATTA? The 12 th Annual Rubber Duck Regatta will take place on September 19, 2015, in conjunction with the Taste of the Miami Valley festival at RiverScape MetroPark, which attracts more than 25,000 people each year. 20,000 bright yellow rubber ducks will make their way to the finish line on the banks of the Great Miami River. This family-friendly event is supported by many local companies Kroger, James Investment Research, Rieck Services, United Dairy Farmers, Reach Magazine, iheart Media, WYSO, and local television stations including WDTN Channel 2. The City and County Commissioners, many local businesses and thousands in our community show their support for this worthwhile event that benefits children and adults with disabilities in Greater Dayton. More than 100 stories were covered and 6.3 million people reached through the Regatta in (See attached media report) WHAT IS THE VID KICKOFF? The Very Important Duck (VID) Sponsor Kickoff will take place at The Wine Gallery on July 13, Sponsors are invited to attend this reception to officially kickoff the regatta and network with community leaders and businesses.
