2 ONE DAY A YEAR TO RAISE FUNDS FOR HIV & AIDS IN NORTHERN NEVADA Dining Out For Life is an international, annual fundraising event involving the generous participation of restaurants, sponsors, and volunteers in an effort to raise funds for each city s local HIV/AIDS service organization. ALL MONEY RAISED STAYS IN OUR COMMUNITY Last year, 31 local restaurants in the Reno-Sparks and Carson-Tahoe areas joined together on one day in April to support Northern Nevada HOPES by donating a portion of their proceeds Participating Restaurants included local favorites such as: Campo Adele s Dish Café Flowing Tide Pub PJ & Co. And thanks to their participation and our sponsors, Dining Out For Life raised over $20,000 for Northern Nevada HOPES Reno s nonprofit community health center and HIV/AIDS service organization. Most importantly, all money raised during Dining Out For Life stayed in our community, benefiting people affected by HIV and AIDS in northern Nevada. HOW YOUR SUPPORT CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE Over 8,000 men and women are living with HIV in Nevada. And an estimated 1 in 5 are unaware of their infection. In 2012, the lifetime medical cost for a person living with HIV was over $600,000. Thanks to the generous support of Dining Out For Life sponsors, HOPES can continue providing lifesaving prevention, treatment, and care to individuals and families affected by HIV in our community.

Last year diners from as far away as Texas and New York donated money to help fight HIV in Northern Nevada.
