2 Dear Partners and Friends: We invite you to join us in celebration of our inaugural Investor Impact Awards, which honor businesses and organizations throughout Louisiana who have made a significant impact at Louisiana s Community and Technical Colleges over the past 10 years. The awards ceremony will be held on April 13, 2016, at the Capitol City Hilton downtown Baton Rouge. Proceeds from the event will benefit the statewide scholarship programs of The Foundation for Louisiana s Community and Technical Colleges. As we work together to build a strong and vibrant workforce for our state, we are committed to eliminating geographic, financial, and scholastic barriers to both our credit and non-credit programs. Supporting this event helps us fulfill our commitment. The inaugural group of investors receiving awards have met all of the following criteria and were selected by a committee of workforce development officers and Foundation board members: - Invest greater than $50,000 in the LCTCS Foundation - Support for two or more of Louisiana s Community and Technical Colleges - Deliver a transformational impact to Louisiana s Community and Technical Colleges by leveraging dollars and achieving tangible results in support of our college programs and our students By these examples we know that when we work together, we can grow the skilled workforce of our state and provide a brighter future for our citizens. 3 WHO WE ARE Louisiana Community and Technical College System The Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) provides strategic management and support for Louisiana's 13 community and technical colleges. Our colleges award associates degrees, technical diplomas, and industry-based certificates in programs that are aligned with business and industry and local economies, which lead students to good paying middle class jobs. We are committed to the principle of providing each student access to quality educational programs and lifelong learning. Foundation for Louisiana Community and Technical College System The LCTCS Foundation leads and inspires private support for Louisiana s community and technical colleges to ensure excellence in meeting the education and workforce needs of our State s students, businesses and communities. The Foundation for Louisiana's Community and Technical Colleges, established in 2006, fulfills this mission by: Providing leadership and support for LCTCS colleges and their affiliated foundations Supporting activities than enhance visibility and strengthen support for the LCTCS at the community, parish, state, and federal level Developing international partnerships that prepare students to succeed in a global economy Recognizing and supporting excellence and innovation in teaching and learning Pledge to our Sponsors The LCTCS Foundation will work to provide each sponsor with maximum visibility through our media sites, other publicity as well as during the event. Support fundraising capacity-building for colleges including professional development activities, technical systems and support, and counsel for annual, capital and major gifts campaigns State-wide training for chancellors, staff and board members Scholarships to national conferences for chancellors and staff Student Access and Success: A competitive workforce Ensuring that all Louisianans can attend LCTCS institutions without perceiving cost as a barrier. The Foundation aggregates statewide scholarships dollars and distributes them to colleges, for them to award directly to needy and deserving students. Scholarship Programs Skills USA International Initiatives Professional Development: Support for LCTCS Annual Conference A primary tool in improving faculty skills and programming excellence, resulting in a better-trained workforce, a growing middle class, and more prosperous state. Three days of workshops and general sessions for professional development, collaboration and team building amongst faculty, staff and administrators across the state National education experts and speakers brought in to educate and improve our educators Recognition program for faculty, staff and administrators of the year
