2 KidSport PEI Kidsport PEI believes all Island children should have the opportunity to experience the positive benefits that sport offers. Organized sport teaches children important life skills, such as leadership, commitment, teamwork and self-confidence. Staying physically active is important for everyone, and playing sports helps develop healthy lifestyles for children across Prince Edward Island. KidSport PEI helps remove financial barriers that limit some children from participating in sport in PEI. Participate Compete Excel Interesting Facts: Since it s inception in 1997, over $1,180,646 in KidSport Grants has been distributed to 6500 children to cover the cost of registration fees. 200, , ,000 50,000 $ distributed for KidSport Grants since $ distributed for KidSport Grants since 1997 All kids should be given the opportunity to develop healthy lifestyles, no matter the financial barriers that may exist. Staying physically active helps encourage children to maintain healthy habits throughout their lives. The challenges that come with playing sports also teach children valuable life lessons and skills including leadership, hard work, dedication and self-confidence. KidSport PEI believes the primary goal of sport is for all kids to play and have fun. Sport also provides children with the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of teamwork, dedication, responsibility and perseverance. 2

3 About The KidSport Corporate Challenge: Participants will enter teams of 8 participants (4 men and 4 women) and compete in 8 Funn tastic events that challenge the body, mind and sense of humor. T he event participants must be 16 years of age or older. Each p articipant will receive an event t- shirt, dinner and a whole lot of fun! Various prizes will be awarded for station winners a nd teams with the best spirit. The Corporate Challenge is really an Adult Play Date. This is a fun filled day with co - workers while supporting a great cause. A n excellent way for corporation/business team building, which will create openness and better communication in the workplace. This event will attract numerous volunteers and staff that are here to make the 2015 KidSport Corporate Challenge a big success. This event will be promoted through local media outlets and all S port PEI social media accounts. 3
