2 Norway Cup - The world s largest and best football tournament More than participants from 1972 to This makes Norway Cup the world s largest and best football tournament teams In the summer of 2016, the tournament was arranged for the 44th time with 1749 teams. The tournament has been arranged every year (except 1976) from 1972 to volunteers and live TV broadcasts There are approximately 2100 volunteers working free of charge every year during Norway Cup. They work more than hours during the cup volunteers are from the arranging club Bækkelagets Sportsklub. Both young and old work to make this a wonderful football party in Oslo to remember. TV 2 set a new historical record with minimum 8 live matches a day in the play-offs, and 30 minutes sports program from the tournament every evening. All the finales were aired live on TV2 or TV2 sport, as well as the Opening show. Norway Cup has one of Norway s largest press centres with more than accredited press, from around the world, reporting to their respective medias in their home countries. The youngest is five and the oldest, Norway Cups grandmother, (Rigmor Andresen) will turn 95 in
