3 3 Introduction When you enter the beautiful Sound by ship, you see the historic Kronborg Castle in its entire glory welcoming people from nearby and from afar. The Jutland king s son, Amled better known as Shakespeare s Hamlet - Prince of Denmark was here, so why don t you follow in the footsteps of the king s son and participate in Kronborg Cup 2016? Kronborg Cup will be held in week 31 from Friday 5 August to Sunday 7 August, and with the participation of more than 370 teams from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the UK and the US, you and your team will have every opportunity to hone your skills before you start on your autumn tournament. It does not matter if you coach a girls or a boys team in the age group from 8 to 19 or if you play at A, B or C level - Kronborg Cup accommodates you all. The many matches will be played on the top-tuned football pitches of the Municipality of Elsinore and, to the extent possible, the individual team will play its matches at a single facility. With Kronborg Castle setting the scene, the tournament will start on 5 August with a huge opening event on the Culture Docks of Elsinore, offering entertainment and various football competitions in cooperation with FC Nordsjælland, the Danish Super League team, and Soccer Skills Academy, thereby making the day an unforgettable experience. The event ends with a gigantic parade through the historic streets and alleys of Elsinore. Kronborg Cup 2016 offers an exciting, different concept, where the tournament is run most efficiently. Again this year, Kronborg Cup focuses on a healthy diet; this means that no sweets, sodas or deep-fried foods will be available from the stalls of Kronborg Cup you can only get healthy, nutritious food and drink.

Special Olympics Special Olympics 8:8 (Mix m/w) People with learning difficulties (DHIF) Special Olympics are for players over 16, who have general learning difficulties or development disabilities; the tournament is for everybody, regardless of sporting level. The category will have A and B levels if more than 10 teams register for this category.

5 5 Tournament plan and match pitches The tournament plan will be published at not later than 22 July Team charges 11-player teams - DKK 995 per team 8-player teams and Special Olympics - DKK 950 per team 5-player teams - DKK 750 per team Number of players per team 11-player teams - 18 players, max. 14 players per match 8-player teams - 15 players, max. 11 players per match 5-player teams - 10 players, max. 8 players per match Referees All 11:11 matches have referees from the Danish Football Association. 5:5 and 8:8 matches have experienced local referees. Prizes There is a cup as well as gold, silver and bronze medals in all categories. All 5-player teams receive a commemorative medal. In addition, selected players will receive a gift voucher in the form of special skills training or goalkeeper training with Soccer Skills Academy Denmark, featuring some of Denmark s best special skills and goalkeeper coaches! Prizes are handed out just after the last match in a category has been played. NOTE For the tournament to be as fair as possible, it is very significant that clubs register teams in the category and at the level that match the team s strength. The tournament management reserves the right to move registered teams up or down in terms of level. As far as possible, each category will be divided into groups of 4 teams; subsequently, they will be divided into levels for the finals (A nos. 1-4, B nos. 5-8, C nos and D nos ). There will thus be A, B, C and D finals. If there are 6 teams or less in a category, they will play in one group only.

6 6 High-quality football tournament Match length 11:11: 2 x 20 min. per match. 8:8: 2 x 15 min. per match. 5:5: 2 x 10 min. per match. Number of matches 2-3 matches, both Saturday and Sunday min. 5 matches in all. Substitutions can be made freely in matches. A player may only play for one team during the tournament. Dispensation Kronborg Cup complies with the dispensation rules of the Zealand branch of the National Football Association. Dispensation or dispensation rules must be documented to the tournament management.

7 7 Accommodation School accommodation/sports centre accommodation From Friday 5 August at until Sunday 7 August at A: At a sports centre with other teams, including a Kronborg Cup NIKE T-shirt: DKK 550 per person B: In the team s own room (18-20 persons per room) incl. Kronborg Cup NIKE T-shirt: DKK 599 per person Participants need to bring their own sleep matt/mattress and sleeping bag/duvet. All the above-mentioned prices include the following: Opening event and coach transport to/from the opening event and the place of accommodation. Full board (dinner Friday, three meals Saturday, plus breakfast and lunch Sunday). Lunch will be enjoyed at the facility where the team plays; other meals at the place of accommodation. Hotel accommodation Kronborg Cup cooperates with Comwell Borupgaard. More information about hotel accommodation is available at. Parent camping (tents only) For the first time in the 8 years of existence of Kronborg Cup, we are happy to be able to offer parents to stay at a camping site associated with Kronborg Cup. You can be close to the players and experience the great atmosphere there is bound to be at the Kronborg Cup camping site. The camping site is intended for parents and other family members who wish to watch their children in action at Kronborg Cup. Prices Per family tent (max. 8 persons): DKK per space Payment Payment not later than 30 June 2016 Practical information The parent camping site is adjacent to the school accommodation facility, which is located centrally in relation to the 6 venues used. Toilet facilities and shower facilities at the school can be used by persons using the family camping site. Registration deadline It is an advantage to register your club s parents jointly, so as to be placed together on the camping site. On the Saturday, late in the day, Kronborg Cup organises an event at mp:h Multi Park Elsinore - mp:h is a 10,000 m2 skater park Turn up with your team mates and try the different skater activities, such as: Skateboards, BMX, parkour, scooters, roller skates, roll play set-up with battle arenas, under-roof football tournament or perhaps you would like to try to hand as a DJ, playing music from your CD, USB or phone.

8 8 Registration Register via: the deadline for registration is Monday 20 June There are different registration and payment options We recommend early registration we normally sell out... In case of a high number of registrations for the tournament, the tournament management reserves the right to close for registration in some categories. If there are fewer than five teams in a given category, the tournament management reserves the right to hold the tournament on a single day (following consultation with the clubs concerned).
