1 Hay Job Description Hay Reference: Job Title: Project Manager Reports to: Programme Manager 2. Job Purpose This position is responsible for ensuring that all projects are adequately planned, designed and delivered to timelines, quality and budget. Ensuring business requirements and associated benefits are clearly identified and delivered 3. Dimensions Contributes to overall Programme budget management process Responsible for the line management of a team as required dependent upon project size. Responsible for matrix managing internal and external resources as appropriate to the size of the project/programme of work. Responsible for complex programmes of work up to 2 million budget Responsible for effective financial management of projects including confirmation of budget approval, spend, accurate forecasting and associated financial benefits realisation Responsible for ensuring budget books are completed, authorised and updated on a monthly basis Responsible for ensuring adherence to the change control process completing full impact assessments with detailed cost and benefit implications

3 Core Requirements Educated to Degree level or equivalent professional qualification Extensive experience of business change project delivery Experience in leading and motivating teams that includes individuals who are not direct reports but will form part of the project team Full project lifecycle delivery experience Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail Excellent oral and written communication skills Professional approach with the ability to engage effectively up to executive director level Negotiation skills with the ability to influence and direct Delivering Results Works with the Business Owner and the Programme Manager to develop requirements into project deliverables Gives clear direction to team, setting objectives that are understood by all and that ensure the delivery of a service that exceeds expectations Takes personal responsibility and pride for delivering high quality services Takes personal responsibility for building effective partnering relationships across the organisation that support delivery Ensures programme policies, procedures and professional standards are adhered to by all team members Team Work and Relationships Develops positive working relationships that support collaborative working across the organisation and motivates colleagues to deliver Strong negotiation skills with an ability to challenge in a professional manner and influence up to executive director level Ensures all stakeholders are identified, engaged and communication plans in place to ensure a consistent approach to communication Anticipates and responds effectively to internal customer requests and delivers to promises on a consistent basis Customer/Client and /Colleague focus Puts colleagues, clients and customers first listening to their needs and managing differences in a professional manner Provides opportunities for the project team to engage with clients/customers and colleagues to enhance understanding of the business drivers and requirements to deliver Encourages the team to utilise opportunities for communicating with colleagues/ clients and customers as situations arise.
