2 EVENT DETAILS Members of the racing community come together to provide a rare opportunity for children coping with a life threatening illness to experience the thrill of riding around a world famous track! In association with The Children s Wish Foundation of Canada; Doncaster Racing, Motorsport Park and Pfaff Auto Group Inc. will be hosting this private event in support of Children s Wish. The Children s Wish Ride-Along event is in its 26 th year and is an anticipated day for our wish children and their families. Event organizers Jeff Pabst and Dave Lacey have organized the fundraiser since the inaugural event and have seen first-hand the positive impact of the day on children and their families. NEW this year we ll also be featuring a CAR SHOW in the main paddock adjacent to the Driver Development Track, with all proceeds going towards granting the most heartfelt wish for children diagnosed with life threatening illnesses. It is a show for viewing custom cars, Hot-rods, trucks, and exotic cars of various makes and models from local car clubs and independent car owners. With up to 150 cars, food/product vendors, and live music, this is sure to be the perfect addition for all car enthusiasts. The event will include judging and awards for various categories, featuring a top prize for The Children s Choice Award judged by our very own Wish Children! With a few cars and Wish families we started a tradition that has grown over the years. The Founder of Children s Wish Ride Along Over 25 years supporting the Children s Wish Foundation of Canada THE CHILDREN S WISH FOUNDATION OF CANADA Each year, thousands of Canadian children between the ages of 3 and 17 are diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. Since 1984, The Children s Wish Foundation of Canada has worked tirelessly to grant exceptional wishes of almost 25,000 children and their families. This year, Children s Wish expects to grant 1,100 new wishes and with the help of volunteers and generous donors is able to grant nearly three wishes every day. Each wish is an individual adventure, carefully structured to meet the needs of a particular child and family. Ontario currently has over 600 pending wishes and the average cost of a wish is $10,000.
