2 A top-notch event full of fun FIRC combines the talents of over 50 amazing volunteers, fashions from FIRC s thrift stores, high-energy music and a crowd pleasing buffet from Food Hedz to provide an unforgettable evening for our sponsors and guests. In its fourth year, the Fashion Show fundraiser sold out the Riverwalk with 295 guests and raised over $85,000 for FIRC s parenting education and emergency assistance programs. Over the last four years, the event has raised $285,000 and sold out three times. Every year the show has a new theme to give guests a different look at thrift store fashion. Many guests even add their own flare by dressing up to match the theme. This year our theme will be A Reason to Celebrate and we are increasing our seating to 370, which will make this the biggest fashion show yet Fashion Show Stats: Attendance: 295 guests Sold out in advance Cost: $75 ticket Sponsorship dollars raised: $38,000 Ticket sales and donations: $47,542 Total donations: $85,542 This was the best event we ve seen in Summit County in years! - guest comment

10 How FIRC helps the community The Family & Intercultural Resource Center has been serving locals who live and work in Summit County for the last 20 years. Our mission is to promote stable families. We believe strong families are the building blocks to a strong community. Our services range from assisting families and individuals facing financial emergencies to parenting classes and home visits focused on giving children the best start to life. Our focus is providing families and individuals with the tools to help them be strong and stable parents and community members. Over the last year our programs reached the following: Served over 3,500 local families and individuals across all FIRC programs Provided over 1,800 home visits to 170 children ages 0-5 using the Parents as Teachers curriculum Over 500 parents attended a parenting class or discussion group to help them improve communication with their child or teen, teach respect and use positive discipline techniques Assisted over 250 families and individuals with rent, utility or medical bills Over 1,800 locals used the food bank to keep food on the table Summit Thrift & Treasure reached record-breaking revenues and was able to contribute over 35% to FIRC s programs.
