3 Performnce for 2 stcked continers nd 1 ctress I m nd sometimes I forget you re one I would like to sy it to you I m Becuse it is the most importnt thing for me nd lso becuse it is importnt for you to know Relly I m Ech of us is You cn t lock up people, you know You cn not It is not possible I m is ply in which stge ctress cts simultneously for two stcked rooms. Two six meter continers one on top of the other. One blecher in ech continer. Two isolted udiences. One ctress who moves from one continer to the other on her rms. When she is not here, we still her her voice, her imge is still here. And she lwys keeps her smile. Text I m is text written for one womn nd two udiences. For the impossibility of tlking to everyone t the sme time. It is counter-relief description of the confinement, the testimony of confined womn on the outside world. By smiling, I ly out ll these beutiful things tht I cnnot do if I m confined. I give you n ccount of my escpe, of my getwy. I never tlk directly bout jil or detention centre. Only bout ll the things I like to do, nd how I m running wy. I m is how, imprisoned, the love I hve for the world returns to me in its very detils. 3

4 "Adresse" I m is constructed round the impossibility to tlk to everyone t the sme time. One ctress, two rooms one on top of the other. And continuous ttempt to tlk to someone, to spek to someone holding eye contct. We re very close to ech other, we cn touch ech other. The ctress is lwys tlking to someone in the udience. In the process of the work, which the kth compgnie develops since its debuts, the words nd the whole performnce re simply directed only towrds the specttors seted right there. Projection On ech stge there is video-projector tht covers the whole scenic spce, floor, ceiling nd wlls. The video projection is cried on live, in rel time. The imge coincides with, follows or precedes the ction nd the ctress s spech. The interction is permnent, choreogrphed nd lmost orgnic. Wht hppens in one of the continers is filmed live nd reprojected in the other, bove or under. The two spces re synchronized. The ctress is duplicted. When she leves continer, her imge immeditely replces her. Something between the ghost of the ctress, screen imges of the video surveillnce control. A retinl or digitl persistnce... And she lwys keeps her smile. We re not here to give lessons or to mke nyone feel guilty or to ccuse nybody. We re not here to convey collective suffernce, or to torture ny good conscience. Mybe just to sk some questions nd move our point of view. To tell you gin tht I m, to remind you tht you re indeed one. And she lwys keeps her smile. 4

5 Sound The ccoustic plys in very troubled mnner in this smll metllic spce. The uditive perception is principlly worked upon in the live voice of the ctress nd in her ddresses. Hering is very different when following wht one cn see, the ctress herself or only her imge. From time to time, in n lmost imperceptible wy, system of sound diffusion comes into ply, independently for ech continer. It dds to the direct voice, to work it out, to lrgely modify it, to echo it, to precede it, to dd to it some murmurs. Exterior For the sitting udience in the continers, the exterior interfers permnently. The continers let the rumors of the city pss through the wlls. One cn roughly her the noise of the outside world. And every now nd then, some wves of n outside ctivity, of something tht is going on outside the continers. From the outside, the construction itself cts in such seductive wy tht hppens to be n event for itself. A six-meter high bloc nd tem keeping busy round. The wings of the thetre tese the pedestrins, only to hide the show itself. 5

7 Extrct When I think bout myself, I run. I men, when I imgine myself, I m runing. You know, everyone hs this, I think, self-imge, n ction, wht re you doing when you think bout yourself?
