7 Next Move project The overall project vision is that Scandinavian regions shall be early users of zero emission vehicles. Focus is on mobilizing the users. Project period:1 April Sept 2014 Budget: 6 Million, hereof 4 Million are investments The project is cofinanced by Interreg IVA Öresund-Kattegat- Skagerrak The partnership gather 11 organisations in the program area

12 Introduction to: Fact-based Swedish National Study for Hydrogen as Vehicle Fuel Version The study is done in agreement with the Swedish Transport Administrations and is part of the larger TEN-T-project Hydrogen Infrastructure for Transport (HIT).

13 Why is this study important? Hydrogen has a huge potential to reduce our dependency of fossil fuels and for grid-balancing Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV) are a necessary complement to Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) and plug-in hybrids to reach the EU-targets within transport The international vehicle manufacturers are ready to mass produce FCEV s starting in 2015 Major infrastructure plans already in motion (Germany H2Mobility, USA CARB, Great Britain UKH2Mobility and more)

14 HIT-project aims 1. Harmonising roll-out of Hydrogen Refueling Stations (HRS) in Europe 2. National roll-out plans for Denmark, France, the Netherlands and Sweden 3. Learning from Germany (CEP, H2 Mobility, NOW Gmbh), the London Hydrogen Partnership & other H 2 initiatives 4. Linking national hydrogen corridors to international TEN-T transport corridors 5. EU wide dissemination to key decision makers and coordinators of TEN-T corridors

15 CONCLUSIONS Hydrogen is more than cars We are part of an international effort Energy balancing and energy storage supports renewable energy Infrastructure investments are defendable Production of fuel in the country Research must be fully supported Incentives are initially needed - Region Skåne goes ahead
