Operatioal Descriptio The operatioal descriptio shall fulfil the requiremets of Rule Part (b)(4). The rule part requires, "A brief descriptio of the circuit fuctios of the device alog with a statemet describig how the device operates. Otherwise, the product may ot operate properly. ` It will take about 1mi for the camera to boot-up completely. ` Whe the boot-up is complete, the power LED color will chage from red to blue. 8 Istallatio 02 INSTALLATION & NETWORK CONNECTION Istallatio 8 Precautios 1. Istall the camera i a place where the Wi-Fi sigal ca be reached ad without iterferece. 2. Keep it away from humidity such as aroud the humidifier. 3. Keep it away from direct sulight, strog light or dust; istall it i a place with clear view. 4. Do ot istall it i a place where there are a lot of obstacles. 5. Keep the les clea at all times. Wipe off the dust with a soft cloth. 6. 9 UNLOCK LOCK Wall Moutig Usig Double-sided adhesive tape Separatig the wall-mout bracket 1. Press ad hold [PUSH TO RELEASE] o the left side of bracket ad tur the bracket couterclockwise to separate it. ` You may tur the bracket body couterclockwise without pressig the [PUSH TO RELEASE]. 3. Hold the adhesive tape's holder ad remove the protective film, ad attach it to the desired spot of the wall-mout bracket while makig the [ TOP] marker poit upwards (directio of 12 o clock). ` The tape will lose adhesiveess if used oce, do ot re-use. ` Before attachig tape, clea dust / water / oil off the wall-mout bracket s adhesive spot for better result. TOP TOP 02 Assemblig 1. Take out tape for wall moutig from the zipper bag. 2. Remove the rectagular protective film from the adhesive tape ad attach it to the bottom of the wall-mout bracket. 9 Istallatio & Network Coectio

10 UNLOCK LOCK 4. Ru the provided adaptor wire through the groove prepared o the wall-mout bracket. 6. Fix the body bracket by turig it clockwise util it clicks. ` Match adaptor s plug part to the directio of 12 o clock. Grooves o the body bracket TOP 5. Arrage the wire by usig two grooves o the body bracket. ` Make both body bracket s [UNLOCK LOCK] ad wall-mout bracket s [ TOP] marks face the same directio. 7. 11 Adjustig the Agle Wall Moutig with Screws 1. Adjust the camera s shootig agle as appropriate. ` Do ot put excessive force. Otherwise, it may cause damage to the camera. Tur the part show i the figure clockwise to lock the bracket s ball hige ad fix the shootig agle. 3. Tur it couterclockwise to ulock the ball hige ad adjust the shootig agle. J ` Turig the camera couterclockwise while the bracket body is locked may tur the bracket kob too, ad fail to fix it. I such cases, tur the bracket kob clockwise. Bracket kob UNLOCK LOCK 1. Take out screws (M3xL20) ad Achor (Φ5x25) from the zipper bag. 2. O a woode wall, use screws to fix the wall-mout bracket as show i the figure. Place the wall-mout bracket o the desired spot while settig its [ TOP] mark towards directio of 12 o clock ad faste screws through the 4 holes usig screwdriver. 3. If fixig o a cocrete wall, use screws ad achors to fix wall-mout bracket. First, mark o the wall as show i the figure below. TOP Istallatio & Network Coectio

12 RESET DC IN 5V NETWORK UNLOCK LOCK 4. Use drill bit of 5mm diameter ad drill o the marked positios, drill to have 3 cm depth holes. Clea the holes after drillig. J ` Be careful ot to get ijured while drillig. Desktop moutig ` For more iformatio about step of Separatig the wall-mout bracket, refer to Wall Moutig Usig Double-sided adhesive tape. Assemblig 5. Isert a achor for each hole. Fully isert achors by hammerig lightly the achor head with a hammer/rubber hammer. 1. Assemble body bracket ad wall-mout bracket while matchig the [ ] ad [ ] marks. 6. Place the wall-mout bracket o the desired spot while settig its [ TOP] mark towards directio of 12 o clock ad faste screws through the 4 holes usig screwdriver. ` For further steps, refer to the istructios for Wall Moutig Usig Double-sided adhesive tape. 2. 13 DC IN 5V NETWORK SAMSUNG SMARTCAM RESET Network Coectio ad Settigs Precautios The wireless etwork access may fail, depedig o the commuicatios eviromet. For details about the etwork settigs ad password, cotact your etwork admiistrator or service provider. For a specific Iteret service requirig user autheticatio, you may ot access the service. If this is the case, cotact the service provider. Do ot access the uauthorized etwork. The farther the distace from the Wireless Access Poit, the loger time the etwork coectio may take. If you fail to access the selected wireless etwork, try a differet Wireless Access Poit to make access. For more iformatio about the router or the wireless coectio, refer to the documetatio of the router or cotact the router maufacturer. If the camera is coected to a multiple-wireless Access Poit etwork eviromet, some video packets may be lost, depedig o the etwork traffic load. Accordig to the etwork policy (blockig UDP) of the service provider, the video trasmissio ca be limited to 7 miutes. I additio to the above two situatios, you may ecouter a etwork delay or iterruptio due to the etwork coditios. This product has goe through the compatibility test with worldwide top rakig routers i the market but you may still have a problem i compatibility with some covetioal routers or other routers maufactured by other tha the idustry leadig compaies. Coectig via etwork cable If you do ot have a Wireless Access Poit, you must coect the camera usig LAN cable directly to your home router. 1. Whe you apply the power, the power status LED is lit red, ad it will chage to red blikig whe the bootig is completed. 2. Coect the etwork cable to the camera ad to the home router as show below. 3. The status LED will become steady blue oce the camera is coected to the router. (may take up to 30sec). If the status LED (blue) is ot lit, repeat steps 2 through the ed ad check it agai. 4. The status LED will became steady gree oce the camera is coected to server. OR <Hub> <Modem> Iteret Service ` It is recommeded to set the router to DHCP(Dyamic Host Cofiguratio Protocol) server. If you wat to use static IP address, please refer to <Wired Network> o page 24. ` If the router s UPP is ot set, the you might be coected i relay mode. Whe you apply the power, the power status LED is lit red, ad it will chage to red blikig whe the bootig is completed. 2. Use the etwork cable (LAN cable) to coect the LAN port of the uit to the LAN port of the Wireless Access Poit. Coetig usig Wi-Fi WPS feature What is WPS? WPS eables to make coectio betwee the camera ad the Wireless Access Poit with a simple click of the butto. 1. Whe you apply the power, the power status LED is lit red, ad it will chage to red blikig whe the bootig is completed. 2. Press the WPS butto o the camera for 1sec. Press the WPS butto o the Wireless Access Poit withi 2mi. WPS Butto WPS Butto <Wireless Access Poit> RESET 3. Register ad select the camera accordig to guide of 03. Moitorig. 4. Set your wireless etwork eviromet usig the guidelie <Wireless Network> o page 25. <Modem> Iteret Service ` Whe the wireless etwork settigs are completed, remove the LAN cable. ` If you fail to coect to the Iteret service, cotact the service provider for details. Wi-Fi Idicator LED Iteret Service <Wireless Access Poit> <Modem> 3. The Wi-Fi status LED will become steady blue oce the camera is coected to the Wireless Access Poit. (may take up to 30sec). ID : Create user ID betwee 8 to 14 alphaumeric character. Password : Create password betwee 8 to 14 alphaumeric character. Cofirm Password : Please eter the password agai for cofirmatio. Name : Eter the user ame. Please make sure you eter correct address as you will have to use the address to receive temporary ID/password whe you lost your user ID or password. 7. Select the serial umber of the camera to be added from the camera search list. If the camera is ot foud, eter the serial umber maually. 8. Click <Next>. 03 Moitorig ` Serial umber ca be foud the label o the side of the packagig or o the rear of the product. ` The computer ad the camera has to be o the same etwork router to auto detect the cameras. 19

20 9. Create <Camera Name> ad <Camera password>. 10. Click <Next>. 12. Select your Wireless Network from the list. 13. Eter the password of your Wireless Network ad click <Next>. ` The camera password is used to block the uauthorized access to your camera. ` Create camera password usig alphaumeric characters betwee 1 to 8 without ay space. 11. After addig the camera, click <Yes> i the wireless etwork setup pop-up widow. ` If your Wireless Network is hidde, select <Other Wi-Fi Networks (ot listed)>. ` Select <Display password> to display the password. 14. 21 15. Uplug the etwork cable from the camera ad the router. 16. Click <Fiish> if the <Fiish> butto is activated. Live Video 1. Select a camera from the camera list at the upper left had of the scree. 17. Network Speed Soud Select frame rate based o your etwork speed. ` If the badwidth provided by the cable service provider is lower tha recommeded, you may ecouter a blurry image or a temporary loss of video sigal. Whe eabled, you ca hear what s happeig aroud the camera. ` Depedig o the policy of the Iteret service provider, the soud output may ot be supported. (i either UDP or Relay mode) Brightess You ca adjust the brightess of the scree image. Audio Adjust the volume of the built-i microphoe ad speaker of the camera as appropriate. If you set the microphoe to '0', you will ot hear the soud from the live video ad it is ot recorded by the alarm of YouTube or Picasa. If the etwork coditio is ustable, the camera caot make a ormal coectio (P2P), so it will set up a coectio i relay mode. I this case, you will see the video for the first seve miutes oly. ` Relay mode is added feature where the video from the camera is trasmitted to Samsug server the retrasmitted to the user's computer. ` If you have trouble coectio to the camera, visit " com", go to support page, ad refer to Troubleshootig o it. ` If you display more tha oe live video with the Web browser, they ca be overlapped i some portio. It is recommeded to use oe browser at oe time. ` The Night Visio video produces a differet visibility accordig to the distace betwee camera ad subject. 24 ` If you chage the camera password, you will be logged out ad retur to the camera password iput page. ` The camera password ca be chaged oly i admi mode. ` Keep the camera password i a safe place as it is used for viewig the live scree of the camera or for chagig the display settigs. Network <Wired Network> Firmware update If the curretly used S/W is ot of the latest versio, update it. If you are usig the latest versio, the the firmware will ot be activated. 1) Click <Firmware>. b 2) Click the < > ico to update the firmware. Item Descriptio Dyamic IP Address If you select <Dyamic IP Address>, the IP address will be obtaied automatically. 3) Whe the firmware update is fiished, the camera will reboot. ` Use the cable etwork if possible to update the firmware. ` If the power is off durig the update, it will cause a fatal damage to the product. ` The duratio of the firmware update depeds o the size of the firmware file ad the etwork coectio speed. b Static IP Address You must maually provide the iformatio of: IP address, subet mask, gateway, DNS server address. 24 Eglish

25 ` If ay of the maual settigs is wrog, the etwork settigs will ot be applied. ` If you have both cable ad wireless etwork coectios simultaeously, the cable etwork coectio is prioritized. ` Press WPS to set the etwork coectio to Wireless regardless of the curret etwork settigs. Whe the system reboots, it will switch to Cable if the cable etwork coectio is already established. ` If you switch from the curret wireless coectio to the cable coectio, the etwork will switch to cable coectio accordigly. ` For more iformatio about the router or the wireless coectio, refer to the documetatio of the router or cotact the router maufacturer. b c Item Wireless O/ Wireless Off AP (Access Poit) list AP (Access Poit) password Hidde SSID Descriptio You ca select to activate or deactivate the wireless etwork coectio. You will see a list of APs (Access Poit) available. Select a desired oe from the list of APs (Access Poit). If you select a secured AP (Access Poit), you must eter the password before you ca access the etwork. For the password, cotact your etwork admiistrator. If your SSID is hidde, select the type of security you have. Eter the ame of the SSID ad the password. <Wireless Network> b ` If you select a o-secured AP (Access Poit), you just ca access the etwork without providig a specific password. ` If you etered a wrog password, you caot access the etwork whatsoever. ` Whe the wireless etwork settigs are completed, remove the LAN cable. Please follow the istructio below: Problem I forgot my user ID/ password. I failed to coect wirelessly with the camera. After logged i, I failed to register the camera. The camera is registered, but is ot ready for etwork coectio. Actio - Move to Log-i page Forgot your ID/Password?, ad eter the registered address to which we will sed you the user ID ad/or a ew password. It ca be spammed out depedig o the policy of the server. After logged i, it is advisable to chage the temporary password provided. - If you ecouter a frequet tur off of the wireless Iteret LED, this may be caused by a improper place for the wireless Iteret etwork. Come closer to the AP ad try agai. - If the wireless etwork is ustable, you ca still make coectio via the cable etwork. - Check if the etered serial umber matches with the label o the rear of the camera. - Please re-eter the valid camera password ad try agai. - If the problem persists, reset the camera to the factory default ad start all over agai. (To reset the camera to the factory default, press ad hold the reset butto o the rear of the camera.
