He became known as the teacher s teacher and throuh his dedication earned the distinction of bein inducted as the 24th PGA of America Master Professional. Whether teachin a junior clinic or workin with a Tour Player, Michael demonstrates a love and passion for the ame of olf while always helpin to identify and promote the importance of the PGA Professional. Michael s resume is filled with accolades and accomplishments. In addition to winnin the PGA of America Horton Smith Award and the 1991 PGA Teacher of the Year Award, Michael has received over twenty five other distinuished awards includin the Sam Snead Award for his contributions to the ame, the PGA and his Metropolitan section. His leacy of service as a teacher, educator, author, promoter, olf professional and course operator puts him amon the PGA of America s elite. Michael s book, See and Feel the Inside Move the Outside, was the first olf instruction book accepted as a PGA Master s thesis. Since then, he has written hundreds of articles for leadin olf maazines, authored a number of books and DVDs and featured on both free-to-air and cable television shows. In recent times, Michael has taken many hours of classes at Harvard s Graduate School of Education and has subsequently been researchin the brain s connection to learnin. His Neuro Learnin for Golf principles advocate that in order to enhance performance potential, you must first improve an individual s learnin potential. Dr. Dave Alred MBE Dr. Dave Alred is a specialist coach in performin under pressure. Havin completed his PhD at Louhborouh University, Alred has worked with a variety of sports at the elite level. He has worked with the Middlesborouh, Sunderland, and Aston Villa Football Clubs as well as the Enlish Cricket and Polo Teams. In Australia he has worked across numerous football codes with St Geore, Newcastle, Parramatta, Manly, the Wallabies and West Coast Eales all featurin on his client list. Dave Alred was inauurated into the UK Coachin Hall of Fame for his contribution to the success of Enland s Ruby World Cup win, and was awarded the Mussabini Medal for outstandin success on the world stae. In 2004 he was honored with an MBE and is widely rearded as the world s best kickin coach with over 130 tests and 4 world cups under his belt as an Enlish and British Lions Assistant Coach. As well as his work with teams, Alred concentrates a reat deal of time on individual performances believin that it is often one s mindset that is fundamental to success. By tryin to ensure players always perform at, or very near their potential, Alred is continually searchin for ways to et a player to o where they ve never been before in terms of both their performance and mindset. He has helped both athletes and coaches develop an understandin of a No Limits mindset and looks at how performance behaviour chanes when in pressure situations. In addition to bein renowned for his work with star pupil Jonny Wilkinson, Alred has been heralded for his work with Luke Donald, seein him rise from number 32 to number 1 in the world. He has recently started workin with three-time major winner, Ireland s Padrai Harrinton. Denis McDade Denis McDade has been a member of the PGA of Australia for over 20 years. He coached at the Victorian Institute of Sport Golf Proram for 11 years and spent 2 years as Scholarship Coach at the AIS Golf Proram. Denis coaches a number of Tourin Professionals includin Marcus Fraser, Marc Leishman, Paul Sheehan, Ash Hall, Matthew Griffin, Gareth Paddison and Clint Rice. He also coaches 2011 British Amateur Champion Bryden Macpherson, the first Australian to win the Championship since Dou Bachli in As Head of the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Junior Advisory Board, Denis has dedicated himself for several years to researchin and improvin the way in which junior olf prorams are structured and delivered and will share elements of this as part of the Summit Proram this year. Denis spends many weeks each year travellin around the world workin with his players and presentin at certification seminars on behalf of TPI. He has previously been nominated as a PGA Teacher of the Year and continues to be considered as one of Australia s foremost teachers and coaches. Dr. Richard (Ric) Charlesworth Whether leadin the world in hockey, captainin Western Australia in cricket, crammin in a medical deree or winnin a seat in Federal Parliament, Dr. Ric Charlesworth has always excelled. His natural ifts and a fierce appetite for victory have uaranteed his success. A former captain of the Western Australian and Australian Hockey Teams, Ric Charlesworth played 227 ames for his country includin 5 Olympic and 4 World Cup tournaments. He was a old medallist and player of the World Cup Tournament in 1986 and silver medallist at the 1976 Olympics. He was also in Federal Parliament for 10 years before retirin to take up the position of National Coach of the Australian Women s Hockey Team from 1993 to Durin his time at the helm, the team was consistently ranked as the number one team in the world, and won 4 Champions Trophies, 2 World Cup s, 2 Olympic Gold medals & 1 Commonwealth Games Gold medal. Charlesworth won the Australian Team Coach of the Year six times (first in 1994 and then each year from 1996 to 2000) and was awarded the status of Master Coach by the International Hockey Federation, subsequently confirmin his position as one of the world s leadin coaches. In addition to his commitment to hockey, Charlesworth also worked as a hih performance consultant to the Fremantle Dockers and as a mentor coach to 5 Australian Institute of Sport coaches. He moved to New Zealand in October 2005 to assume a role as Hih Performance Manaer for New Zealand Cricket and in late 2007 he was drawn back into hockey as Indian Hockey s Technical Advisor. In 2008, Ric was appointed coach of the Australian s National Men s Hockey team and in the same year was inducted into Hockey Australia s inauural Hall of Fame. In 2009 he coached the Kookaburra s to old at the Champion s Trophy in Melbourne and this was followed by old at the 2010 World Cup in New Delhi and old at the Commonwealth Games. He is the first person to have played in and coached a old medal winnin World Cup team in hockey. Ric is also the author of three books, The Coach Manain for Success, Stayin at the Top and Shakespeare the Coach. Throuh these publications he has been able to provide an insiht into how to be the best, but more importantly how to stay there. Tony Bennett Tony is the Director of Education for the Professional Golfers Association s of Europe, which has responsibility for over 20,000 olf professionals in 38 member countries worldwide. Tony travels extensively in his role and also finds time for additional duties as an international olf development consultant for the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews. He has worked with many leadin olfin oranisations and several overnment departments while developin innovative and far reachin projects around the world. Tony started his career as a playin professional, but durin his mid twenties, his business acumen became apparent when he developed an innovative on course retail outlet, which later was reconised as bein one of the leadin olf retail establishments in the UK. Tony became a lecturer at the PGA Trainin School for business and commerce and has had extensive experience in developin coach education frameworks, retail centres, academy structures and learnin pathways. Tony was ranted the status of Master Professional in 2006 and has been credited for modernisin and contributin to the development of olf in Portual. He received reconition from the former President of the Republic Dr. Jore Sampaio in the form of a presidential Order of Merit Award. As a former raduate of Birminham University and with a Master of Philosophy in Sports Participation and Coachin, Tony brins a wealth of knowlede to development projects around the world. He is a current PhD student and also sits on the Editorial Board of the Annual Review of Golf Coachin. Matthew Frelich A PGA of America Professional since 1995, Matt Frelich earned a Bachelor of Science (PGM) deree from Ferris State University in 1994, and an MBA from University of Michian-Flint in As a former Head Professional at the Oak Pointe Country Club in Brihton, Michian, Matt also worked at a variety of other courses and facilities such as Desert Mountain (Arizona), Knollwood Country Club (Michian), Garland Resort (Michian) and Summitpointe Golf Club (San Jose, California). He was also a olf instructor with the Nike Golf Schools. Frelich has held leadership positions in olf analysis technoloy sales and marketin, olf club manaement, olf instruction, and club fittin. In addition to workin for a rane of companies and oranizations such as Interactive Frontiers (V1), Focaltron (GolfAchiever), and Sentient Sports where he trained customers on aboutgolf simulators, force plate systems and SAM PuttLab, Matt is currently the Vice-President of Sales and Business Development for TrackMan, where he has worked since Amon his responsibilities includes trainin the world s top players, coaches, and fittin professionals in the use of TrackMan technoloy and knowlede for player development. In addition to winnin the PGA of America Horton Smith Award and the 1991 PGA Teacher of the Year Award, Michael has received over twenty five other distinuished awards includin the Sam Snead Award for his contributions to the ame, the PGA and his Metropolitan section. His leacy of service as a teacher, educator, author, promoter, olf professional and course operator puts him amon the PGA of America s elite. Michael s book, See and Feel the Inside Move the Outside, was the first olf instruction book accepted as a PGA Master s thesis. Since then, he has written hundreds of articles for leadin olf maazines, authored a number of books and DVDs and featured on both free-to-air and cable television shows. In recent times, Michael has taken many hours of classes at Harvard s Graduate School of Education and has subsequently been researchin the brain s connection to learnin. His Neuro Learnin for Golf principles advocate that in order to enhance performance potential, you must first improve an individual s learnin potential. The environment that this approach creates is a learnin-developin environment, as opposed to the traditional teachin & fixin to et-it-riht approach. Dr. Dave Alred MBE Dr. Dave Alred is a specialist coach in performin under pressure. Havin completed his PhD at Louhborouh University, Alred has worked with a variety of sports at the elite level. He has worked with the Middlesborouh, Sunderland, and Aston Villa Football Clubs as well as the Enlish Cricket and Polo Teams. In Australia he has worked across numerous football codes with St Geore, Newcastle, Parramatta, Manly, the Wallabies and West Coast Eales all featurin on his client list. Dave Alred was inauurated into the UK Coachin Hall of Fame for his contribution to the success of Enland s Ruby World Cup win, and was awarded the Mussabini Medal for outstandin success on the world stae. In 2004 he was honored with an MBE and is widely rearded as the world s best kickin coach with over 130 tests and 4 world cups under his belt as an Enlish and British Lions Assistant Coach. As well as his work with teams, Alred concentrates a reat deal of time on individual performances believin that it is often one s mindset that is fundamental to success. By tryin to ensure players always perform at, or very near their potential, Alred is continually searchin for ways to et a player to o where they ve never been before in terms of both their performance and mindset. He has helped both athletes and coaches develop an understandin of a No Limits mindset and looks at how performance behaviour chanes when in pressure situations. In addition to bein renowned for his work with star pupil Jonny Wilkinson, Alred has been heralded for his work with Luke Donald, seein him rise from number 32 to number 1 in the world. Havin tauht himself to play olf, Alred now plays off four and enjoys workin with individuals to better their ame. He has recently started workin with three-time major winner, Ireland s Padrai Harrinton. Denis McDade Denis McDade has been a member of the PGA of Australia for over 20 years. He coached at the Victorian Institute of Sport Golf Proram for 11 years and spent 2 years as Scholarship Coach at the AIS Golf Proram. Denis coaches a number of Tourin Professionals includin Marcus Fraser, Marc Leishman, Paul Sheehan, Ash Hall, Matthew Griffin, Gareth Paddison and Clint Rice. He also coaches 2011 British Amateur Champion Bryden Macpherson, the first Australian to win the Championship since Dou Bachli in As Head of the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Junior Advisory Board, Denis has dedicated himself for several years to researchin and improvin the way in which junior olf prorams are structured and delivered and will share elements of this as part of the Summit Proram this year. Denis spends many weeks each year travellin around the world workin with his players and presentin at certification seminars on behalf of TPI. He has previously been nominated as a PGA Teacher of the Year and continues to be considered as one of Australia s foremost teachers and coaches. Dr. Richard (Ric) Charlesworth Whether leadin the world in hockey, captainin Western Australia in cricket, crammin in a medical deree or winnin a seat in Federal Parliament, Dr. Ric Charlesworth has always excelled. His natural ifts and a fierce appetite for victory have uaranteed his success. A former captain of the Western Australian and Australian Hockey Teams, Ric Charlesworth played 227 ames for his country includin 5 Olympic and 4 World Cup tournaments. He was a old medallist and player of the World Cup Tournament in 1986 and silver medallist at the 1976 Olympics. He was also in Federal Parliament for 10 years before retirin to take up the position of National Coach of the Australian Women s Hockey Team from 1993 to Durin his time at the helm, the team was consistently ranked as the number one team in the world, and won 4 Champions Trophies, 2 World Cup s, 2 Olympic Gold medals & 1 Commonwealth Games Gold medal. Charlesworth won the Australian Team Coach of the Year six times (first in 1994 and then each year from 1996 to 2000) and was awarded the status of Master Coach by the International Hockey Federation, subsequently confirmin his position as one of the world s leadin coaches. In addition to his commitment to hockey, Charlesworth also worked as a hih performance consultant to the Fremantle Dockers and as a mentor coach to 5 Australian Institute of Sport coaches. He moved to New Zealand in October 2005 to assume a role as Hih Performance Manaer for New Zealand Cricket and in late 2007 he was drawn back into hockey as Indian Hockey s Technical Advisor. In 2008, Ric was appointed coach of the Australian s National Men s Hockey team and in the same year was inducted into Hockey Australia s inauural Hall of Fame. In 2009 he coached the Kookaburra s to old at the Champion s Trophy in Melbourne and this was followed by old at the 2010 World Cup in New Delhi and old at the Commonwealth Games. He is the first person to have played in and coached a old medal winnin World Cup team in hockey. Ric is also the author of three books, The Coach Manain for Success, Stayin at the Top and Shakespeare the Coach. Throuh these publications he has been able to provide an insiht into how to be the best, but more importantly how to stay there. Tony Bennett Tony is the Director of Education for the Professional Golfers Association s of Europe, which has responsibility for over 20,000 olf professionals in 38 member countries worldwide. Tony travels extensively in his role and also finds time for additional duties as an international olf development consultant for the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews. He has worked with many leadin olfin oranisations and several overnment departments while developin innovative and far reachin projects around the world. Tony started his career as a playin professional, but durin his mid twenties, his business acumen became apparent when he developed an innovative on course retail outlet, which later was reconised as bein one of the leadin olf retail establishments in the UK. Tony became a lecturer at the PGA Trainin School for business and commerce and has had extensive experience in developin coach education frameworks, retail centres, academy structures and learnin pathways. Tony was ranted the status of Master Professional in 2006 and has been credited for modernisin and contributin to the development of olf in Portual. He received reconition from the former President of the Republic Dr. Jore Sampaio in the form of a presidential Order of Merit Award. As a former raduate of Birminham University and with a Master of Philosophy in Sports Participation and Coachin, Tony brins a wealth of knowlede to development projects around the world. He is a current PhD student and also sits on the Editorial Board of the Annual Review of Golf Coachin. Matthew Frelich A PGA of America Professional since 1995, Matt Frelich earned a Bachelor of Science (PGM) deree from Ferris State University in 1994, and an MBA from University of Michian-Flint in As a former Head Professional at the Oak Pointe Country Club in Brihton, Michian, Matt also worked at a variety of other courses and facilities such as Desert Mountain (Arizona), Knollwood Country Club (Michian), Garland Resort (Michian) and Summitpointe Golf Club (San Jose, California). He was also a olf instructor with the Nike Golf Schools. Frelich has held leadership positions in olf analysis technoloy sales and marketin, olf club manaement, olf instruction, and club fittin. In addition to workin for a rane of companies and oranizations such as Interactive Frontiers (V1), Focaltron (GolfAchiever), and Sentient Sports where he trained customers on aboutgolf simulators, force plate systems and SAM PuttLab, Matt is currently the Vice-President of Sales and Business Development for TrackMan, where he has worked since Amon his responsibilities includes trainin the world s top players, coaches, and fittin professionals in the use of TrackMan technoloy and knowlede for player development. Matt has also been very active in creatin strateic partnerships and was most recently involved in creatin a stron educational link with the PGA of Australia.
