2 AMP Capital Global Distribution & Business Management Program 2017 At AMP, you will be encouraged and rewarded for contributing to great customer experiences. Your ideas will be sought. Your manager will take time to help you grow, develop and feel challenged in your role. AMP Capital Global Distribution & Business Management The Global Distribution & Business Management stream offers rotations across a number of divisions within AMP Capital, the International Division, the Australia & New Zealand Division and selected rotations within the Finance & Strategy Division. These divisions are responsible for all global sales, global strategic relationships and joint ventures, business strategy, client relationships, marketing and communications, investment services as well as formulating the design of leading edge products. The main sales channels include: Australian Retail and Corporate; Japan retail and institutional; Australian Institutional; NZ; and International institutional. The business management functions include: Global Marketing & Communications Business strategy Investment Services Client Services Product management and development Combined, the divisions have over 400 staff located across regional cities of Australia & NZ; Hong Kong, Tokyo, Beijing, Bahrain and London. What can a graduate expect? Graduates are recruited in to a home division International, Australia & New Zealand or Finance & Strategy. The program offers a four, six month rotations. There are a range of areas within which a Global Distribution & Business Management graduate may rotate: Australian Retail & Corporate Business Australian Institutional Business Business Strategy Marketing & Communications Client Services Investment Services Technical Sales Specialists Global Product Strategic Partnerships & Business Relationships (AMP Capital s Sydney based support teams for our relationships with China Life and Mitsubishi UFJ Trust & Banking)

3 What qualities do we look for? Graduates from this stream have often studied Commerce, Economics, Marketing & International Studies. AMP welcomes applications from students of all disciplines who can demonstrate their interest and ability. Fluency in an Asian language would be an advantage for the International Division but is not a requirement. AMP Capital s Charter lays out the company s beliefs and values, including Client Responsibility, Active Collaboration and an Enterprise Mindset. When selecting candidates, we focus on those who role model these values alongside proven capability and talent. Where can the Global Distribution & Business Management Stream take you? We offer our graduates diverse exposure and experience across a range of distribution and business management disciplines. We expect the program to help our graduates identify and hone their areas of expertise and interest, building progressively on their skills with a view to launching their careers within AMP Capital at the end of the rotation. Previous graduates from the program have gone on to successful careers in sales, investment specialists, product and strategy analysts, marketing research, international marketing, and sales support. 5 What do you get out of the AMP Graduate Program? Development programs Support network As an AMP graduates you will benefit from a tailored development program aimed at helping you make a great start in your Corporate career. We have structured the program to help you acquire the skills you need to grow both personally and professionally, whilst at the same time increasing your technical capabilities within your chosen business area. The development program includes: Formal professional development workshops focused on key professional skills to set yourself up for success early in your career. A business improvement project in your second year where you will have the opportunity to work on a real business problem, dealing with senior leaders and key stakeholders across the business Where relevant to your stream complete professional qualifications (e.g. CA, CFA, Parts 2 & 3 of the Actuarial Education Program) The opportunity to meet senior leaders in informal development and networking sessions Participation in cohort volunteering activities. One of the strengths of the AMP Graduate program is the supportive relationships that are part of the program structure. These include: Talent Manager: who works with you to manage your rotations, track your development and act as an informal mentor. Graduate Champion a senior representative from your business unit, who as an industry expert can act as a mentor to help plan your rotations and career at AMP. Graduate Buddy a graduate from the previous cohort, someone who has recently been there and done that so can help you as you settle into the program, organisation and working life. The Graduate Community there is a strong graduate community at AMP with both graduates and exgraduates coming together for informal development & networking sessions, not to mention social events such as lunches, dinners or a Friday night catch up at a local bar.
