4 sureway meet skills training What s the best way to get to know new friends? Ask plenty of questions. We ve compiled what we think might be top of your list 1. Who is Sureway Skills Training (SST)? A privately owned and regionally focused business that designs and delivers professional training courses to regional business owners, their employees, and individuals keen to improve their skills, knowledge and employability in a range of different industries and job settings. As a nationally recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO) with The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), registration number 91058, our training provides you with industry standard skills and s recognised across Australia. 2. What training does SST offer? Our training serves a range of industries, from community services to construction. It addresses individual needs through pre-entry level s such as literacy and numeracy, industry-entry s such as apprenticeships and traineeships, and higherlevel s for those already in employment seeking to improve their skills or reskills for another industry. 3. Are SST courses accredited? Similar to TAFE, we offer nationally recognised training for Certificates I to IV, and Diplomas that are recognised by Australian employers, registered training organisations and Australian universities. With accredited training, units of competency are recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Upon successful completion you will be issued with a nationally recognised. Partial completion results in a Statement of Attainment. We offer three main modes of training to get you workplace ready classroom-based, on the worksite or online. Generally, the way you undertake the program depends on the course you select. Classroom-based training Our highly experienced and qualified trainers deliver face-to-face training over a series of classroom sessions. Either at a Sureway office or a local venue, you are guided through training modules and participate in group exercises and individual assessment tasks. On-site training With on-site training, we work directly with employers interested in up-skilling their workforce or meeting potential employees. Students attend face-to-face training at a worksite over a series of modules/weeks. Students have the chance to gain first-hand experience in addition to a nationally recognised. You ll complete individual assessments and hands-on testing. Online courses Online courses allow you to study when it suits you best, allowing you to fit study around your personal and work life. 5. Are there previous study requirements? Depending on which course you re interested in, previous study or experience may be an enrolment requirement. If you have studied previously or have work experience that directly relates to your course you may apply for recognition of prior learning to seek exemption from certain parts of your course. 6. How much will it cost? This depends on your individual circumstances and the course you undertake. At SST, we think it s important that financial constraints don t stop you from changing your life for the better. Please call our friendly team to discuss course fees and payment options. 7. How long will it take? The time you spend training depends on your course and individual circumstances. On average, a Certificate I can take a matter of weeks to complete, while a Diploma takes around 12 months. 8. What if I need some help? At SST, you ll never feel alone. I enjoyed my work so much I decided to embark on a career in Aged Care and I am now permanent fulltime with Caloola Aged Care facility in Wagga Wagga, NSW.
