5 EUBra-BIGSEA Objec9ves The development of advanced cloud services to support Big Data. The development of innova1ve Big Data services for capturing, federa1ng and annota1ng large volumes of data. The use of innova1ve and efficient technologies for guaranteeing the fulfillment of the security and privacy policies. The transfer of this technology to a real user scenario with high social and business impact, and of high interest for both EU and BR. The dissemina1on and subsequent uptake of the results and iden1fica1on of business opportuni1es.

6 Prac9cal Contribu9ons A BigData Analy1cs plaborm A QoS layer for IaaS, agnos1c to the cloud provider (including containers), with automa1c horizontal and ver1cal elas1city. A privacy and security framework suitable for performing efficiently on Big Data applica1ons. A programming model bridging to data analy1cs and QoS func1onality, independent of the IaaS provider. A real use case implemented on top of the plaborm for the analysis of data from massively connected socie1es. Transfer of the technology to external projects, ins1tu1ons or en11es. Access to the technology through Open-Source licenses. An interna1onal research community on Clouds and Big Data.

7 Poten9al Synergies QoS IaaS infrastructure framework with proac1ve policies for Ver1cal and Horizontal elas1city using TOSCA Offer: Plaborm-agnos1c, it can fit different back-ends. Welcome: Extend service descrip1ons and more detailed Network characteriza1on. Extending the use cases on BIGSEA cloud-friendly Programming Framework Offer: COMPSs and OPHIDIA already used by external user communi1es. Support and documenta1on will be given. Welcome: Extend requirements and use cases. Massively connected society use case Offer: A use case with mul1ple requirements. Welcome: Addi1onal or extended solu1ons Security and Privacy in BigData is a high-level aim which requires coopera1on.
