3 Session Descriptions General Sessions Real Colors The Real Colors Personality Instrument is presented in a fast, fun, interactive format where participants can learn how to quickly identify their own temperament or "color" and that of others. Using this powerful knowledge, they can develop more effective communication skills and build better relationships, in and out of the workplace. Fact is, everyone has a distinct temperament spectrum comprised of four colors: Blue, Gold, Orange and Green. Learn to identify a person's Real Colors and you'll gain insight into the things that are most important to them, discover the secret of what motivates them, and much more. Real Colors is easy to use at work, at home, anywhere you meet people! Mission Health has nationally-certified staff available to administer the assessment, and facilitate application with your team. Participants will discover their personal strengths; learn to recognize the strengths of others; learn how to build instant rapport with people; learn the most effective methods of speaking to different people; learn to hear what people are really saying; discover the different ways individuals process information; learn to appreciate and value the viewpoints of others; and learn how to apply Real Colors principles in all areas of their lives. Population Health & Accountable Care Organizations Healthcare delivery is changing at an unprecedented pace due in part to the fact that as a country we are spending greater than 17% of our GDP on healthcare with outcomes that are far below many other industrialized nations. In response, providers, hospitals and other healthcare organizations are being asked to rethink how we structure our systems and ultimately deliver our care. We are moving from a volume based model to one that focuses on value- the best outcomes for the best cost. This requires a change in technology, data sharing and most importantly culture to fully identify, understand and engage with the populations we serve. In this session, we will review the basics of population health and how that translates into one new model of care, accountable care organizations. We will also discuss how Mission Health Partners is building a population health strategy locally and how it will affect the providers and residents of Western North Carolina. The Landscape of Wellness in Your Organization Join Dede Rowe, WellConnect Engagement Specialist, to explore the creation of a culture of wellness within your organization. Learn about the MyHealthyLife WellConnect Wellness Program offered through Mission Hospital and its great impact on engaging employees, employers, and the community of WNC. Dede will share successes from the program and give an overview of how you can engage your organization in a wellness initiative.

4 Session Descriptions Break-Out Sessions Project Management for Healthcare Administrative Professionals This session will introduce the principles and proven practices, methods and tools of project management geared toward the common problems that healthcare professionals and all project managers typically experience. Geared toward addressing planning, organizing and controlling projects, this session will also address requirements definition and management, resource management, risk management and leading multiple projects. This will be a brief overview of project management principles combined with presentation of tools to help manage projects. The session includes a handout with references and websites for further information on project management that administrators can use to help solve problems associated with managing cost, schedule, requirements, how to identify and manage risk, how and when to say No, methods and tools to manage multiple projects and how to communicate important issues to senior management. Advanced Outlook: What Else Is There? Think you know all there is to use Outlook? Come to this session and learn how to organize your Outlook items, manage your Outlook data files, manage your Contacts and Contact information, create a custom Outlook form and work offline and remotely! Be the Picture of Wellness: Painting Your Own Landscape What does your personal wellness landscape look like? In this interactive discussion, we will discover different ways to paint our own picture of wellness. We will focus on the mind-body connection as a springboard for learning while exploring the latest research on how our brain and body are connected and what you can do to maximize your wellness landscape. In addition, there will be time for you to share your wellness techniques with others to encourage a community of well-being. Advanced PowerPoint: Create a Dynamic Presentation You create presentations all the time want to be a cut above the rest? Come to this session to learn how to add SmartArt graphics and special effects, customize a slide show, collaborate on a presentation, and secure and distribute a presentation!

5 Speakers Bios Katrina Bragg Katrina Bragg owns Task Mania, a virtual assistance company here in Asheville. She has taught Excel for Mission Hospital for 3 ½ years as well as other corporations in this area. She graduated from AB Tech in 2008 with numerous awards and recognitions. She loves teaching Microsoft and believes it s a great tool for all people Robert Fields, MD Robert Fields, MD, currently serves as Medical Director for Mission Health Partners, and also works as a family medicine physician with Mission My Care Plus Biltmore Park, part of Mission Health, in Arden, North Carolina. He is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville. Dr. Fields completed his family medicine residency with Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) in Asheville, North Carolina, and is board certified in family medicine. Additionally, Dr. Fields is fluent in Spanish and maintains a special interest in caring for Spanish-speaking adults and children. Jaime Lang, MPH Jaime Lang, MPH, Wellness Program Development Specialist, designs and implements the program content for Mission employees, employers, and the community of WNC. Working in wellness in non-profit and community organizations in Colorado, Georgia, Arizona, and Costa Rica has provided her with a unique view into the culture of wellness across the United States and abroad. Jaime s experience working with system change and results-based frameworks creates an innovative platform for collaborative wellness programming within the community. Her personal interest in the mind-body connection stems from her experiences working at the world-renowned Canyon Ranch Health Resort, NewChapter Organic s Biodynamic Farm in Costa Rica and several alternative therapy programs with adult and senior populations.

6 Speakers Bios Natalia Rabin, MA, MS Natalia Rabin is a Certified Real Colors facilitator. Natalia has worked at Mission Health for over 12 years, where she is the Senior Consultant in the Center for Leadership and Professional Development. Natalia works with leaders and teams to increase individual, team, and organizational effectiveness. Natalia holds a Master of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Human Resources and is also a certified leadership coach. Dede Rowe Dede Rowe, WellConnect Engagement Specialist, works with employer groups and the community to facilitate a culture of wellness through the WellConnect program across Mission Health System s 18-county region in WNC. Dede s work in non-profit fundraising enables her to effectively navigate organizations needs and illuminate Mission s offerings for tailored wellness programming. In addition, her background working in Education gives her valuable insight into behavior change and how organizations and individuals can harness their own strengths to create a culture of wellness unique to them. Dede enjoys strategizing with wellness teams and traveling to assess their populations needs for wellness programming. Robert Wright, PhD Dr. Wright is a Project Management Professional with extensive experience in medium to large software application projects. Dr. Wright has managed many multi-million dollar software projects during his career. his most recent engagement was leading a $10 million project and mentoring a team of 12 military, government and contractor personnel on project management tools and methodologies. Routinely using project management methods including planning, programming, budget, risk management, scheduling and resource management tools and methods he managed the development and coordinated the use of commercial cell phone technology and applications in government emergency management and military operations. He has led independent research to develop courses of action and recommendations for decision makers (senior corporate officials) and presented findings and recommendations to senior leaders at Department of Defense Joint Staff and other senior levels. Dr. Wright has published articles and presented at professional symposia on many topics over the years including project management methods, software development, and building training systems.
