To administer applications to higher education through UCAS and Colchester Institute processes. You will have experience of building relationships with customers and knowledge of educational courses/programme. In addition you will have supplementary administrative duties to support the smooth running of the HE Operations Office. Applicants must have a good standard of education with a level 3 qualification or equivalent, coupled with an IT and a Customer Services qualification or equivalent. Experience of working or studying in a Higher Education environment is desirable. JOB DESCRIPTION Job title: Reports to: Location: Higher Education Operations Officer (Admissions) Higher Education Senior Officer - Administration Colchester Salary: Scale 4 points 15-18 18,687-20,400 per annum Overall Responsibilities: To provide effective and appropriate information and advice to applicants to higher education. To administer applications to higher education through UCAS and Colchester Institute processes. Maintaining close liaise with other Admission Officers, Tutors, Guidance, Student Services, Registry and Marketing Main Duties: 1. To respond effectively and appropriately to all direct and referred enquiries via face-to-face, telephone, mail, email, text within agreed timescales. 2. To develop specialist knowledge and provide detailed advice relating to specific course areas e.g. relevant learning styles, progression routes, specific entry requirements, etc. 3. To assist in the accurate and efficient processing of applications and enrolments for higher education in line with college policy and procedures. 4. To maintain specialist knowledge of the UCAS database and admission system to advise potential applicants. 5. To develop specialist knowledge of the Student Loan Company database and Travel Scholarship Programme to advise potential applicants. 6. To process Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) applications in accordance with DBS and Colchester Institute procedures. 7. To be responsible for the monitoring of and update of all Debtors information on the ATS2 Database system. 8. To be responsible for the administration of Higher Education Mobility through the Erasmus Plus programme. 9. To assist with the recording of assignment extensions on ATS2 Database system. 10. To assist with the registration of students with accredited bodies. For example BA (Hons) Counselling students and their British Association of Counselling Practitioners (BACP) registration. 11. To assist with the inputting of data accuracy checking of Module Evaluation forms.
12. To maintain and promote effective links with Admission Tutors and keep upto-date on curriculum developments. 13. Work to promote and apply the College s Safeguarding and Child Protection policy and practices. 14. To actively promote equality and diversity in all aspects of the role. 15.
