It is imprtant t guide the yung by using new infrmatin and cmmunicatin technlgies as well as Scial Media in all phases f VET. SMEx aims at adjusting the mbility prcesses in cnstructin sectr s VET t future leading ways f including the current and prspective mbile devices. In the prject an extensive tl-kit fr preparatin, peratin and pst prcessing f exchanges f trainees and staff related t up-t-date media will be develped. Thus, the final prduct will be a cmprehensive Andrid Applicatin, which the yung peple will have n their Smartphne s r tablets t supprt them during the whle mbility prcess. 1

RELATED INFORMATION SOCIAL MEDIA Scial interactin amng peple in which they create, share r exchange infrmatin and ideas in virtual cmmunities and netwrks. The scial media is a grup f Internet-based applicatins that build n the idelgical and technlgical fundatins f Web 2.0 and that allw the creatin and exchange f user-generated cntent. Furthermre, scial media depend n mbile and web-based technlgies t create highly interactive platfrms thrugh which individuals and cmmunities share, ccreate, discuss, and mdify user-generated cntent. Scial media differ frm traditinal r industrial media in many ways, including quality, reach, frequency, usability, immediacy, and permanence. Usually the scial media are classified in six different types: 1. cllabrative prjects (fr example, Wikipedia) 2. blgs and micrblgs (fr example, Twitter and Tumblr) 3. cntent cmmunities (fr example, YuTube and DailyMtin) 4. scial netwrking sites (fr example, Facebk) 5. virtual game-wrlds (fr example, Wrld f Warcraft) 6. virtual scial wrlds (fr example, Secnd Life) Mbile scial media Due t the fact that mbile scial media run n mbile devices, they differ frm traditinal scial media by incrprating new factrs such as the current lcatin f the user (lcatin-sensitivity) r the time delay between sending and receiving messages (time-sensitivity). 3

Mbile scial media applicatins can be differentiated amng fur types: 1. Space-timers (lcatin and time sensitive): Exchange f messages with relevance fr ne specific lcatin at ne specific pint in time (e.g., Facebk Places; Fursquare). 2. Space-lcatrs (nly lcatin sensitive): Exchange f messages, with relevance fr ne specific lcatin, which are tagged t a certain place and read later by thers (e.g., Yelp; Qype). 3. Quick-timers (nly time sensitive): Transfer f traditinal scial media applicatins t mbile devices t increase immediacy (e.g., psting Twitter messages r Facebk status updates). 4. Slw-timers (neither lcatin, nr time sensitive): Transfer f traditinal scial media applicatins t mbile devices (e.g., watching a YuTube vide r reading a Wikipedia entry). MOBILITY PROCESS FOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN CONSTRUCTION SECTOR. 4
