OUR STUDENTS CASE STUDIES OUR STUDENTS NATHAN LLOYD 26, GOSPORT I returned to studying to challenge myself mentally. My passion in life is physical training and thus, decided to pursue the challenge of education and my ultimate goal of having a degree in Sports Science. Totton College is ideally situated for me and from the moment of enquiry to enrolment I was confident I had made the right choice. The hardest step is enquiring, it's easy from there. As long as you have the right attitude and are willing to work hard you will complete your chosen course no problem. Don't live life with regrets, if you think it might be for you then it probably is. WENDY COTTON 23, LORDSHILL I feel privileged to have the opportunity to be an apprentice; it has opened many new doors for me. I find the work rewarding, joining the apprenticeship programme has changed my whole life. I really enjoy learning and feel very lucky to have the chance to get qualifications and real life experience at the same time. BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION APPRENTICE WITH AMARI AEROSPACE MATT ARIBAS 46, SOUTHAMPTON Trying to work and learn a new skill can be quite challenging, but the college is very supportive and have made it easier for me. The staff are very helpful and the salon facilities help me feel like I am in a real salon, which will help me when I get a job. My advice is that it s never too late to learn new skills. STUDYING LEVEL 2 BARBERING REBECCA PATERSON 32, MARCHWOOD I wanted to study to upskill myself and have more opportunities in various healthcare settings. I lacked confidence with my writing skills, which my teacher soon picked up and spent time with me working on this, so I had the tools and support in place to complete my course successfully. I would have no hesitation in recommending Totton College as I found the facilities and the staff to be excellent. STUDYING LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE JULIA TANNER 49, LYMINGTON The course I am currently taking has worked out perfectly for me as we all work individually at our own pace, which enables me to do more study at home. My teacher helps me through any challenges I have in the curriculum and I look forward to seeing everyone on a rsday evening. My advice would be to just do it, even if you do have doubts. You don t know what you can achieve or enjoy until you try. This decision could be the one that changes your life for the better in more ways than one.
