It s one thing to hire an employee who s new or returning to the workplace it s another thing to fully utilize this employee s talents and capacity to contribute to an organization. In this workshop, the prevalence and impact of mental health issues in the workplace will be discussed. Effective strategies for addressing these employee challenges, including low cost, reasonable accommodations, will also be covered. MHANYS CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS continued WORKSHOP 4 Engagement with Transitional Age Youth: New HCBS Services Information and Updates This workshop is ideal for all prospective HCBS providers involved in both Adult and Children s Waiver programs. Under the pending renewal application, the OMH HCBS Waiver age of enrollment is proposed to be extended up to the age of 21. In the current OMH HCBS Waiver program for children and families, participants can be served up to age 21; however, participants must be enrolled prior to their 18 th birthday. This workshop covers engagement strategies and overview of three new Transitional Age Youth focused waiver services: 1) Pre-Vocational Services, 2) Supported Employment, and 3) Youth Peer Advocacy.
