4 Registration Boot Camp ~ Marla Roberts Speaker Biographies Marla Robinson is the Access Manager for Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. She has been with Blue Ridge for eight years and is currently working toward her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Implementation of a Patient Access Career Ladder ~ Gary Patterson Gary Patterson is the Access Management System Director for Blue Ridge Healthcare in Burke County North Carolina. He is responsible for registration activity at two facilities Grace and Valdese Hospitals. Gary began his career 20 years ago as a weekend admitting officer at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. Since then, he has held a variety of progressive leadership positions in Access Management. Gary received a B.S. from East Carolina University and an M.P.A. from UNC- Charlotte. He lives in a drafty old house in Gastonia, North Carolina with his wife Erin, and their dogs Levi and Jack.
