Your Wilson Tracking Software Operational Guide Welcome to Wilson Tacking and operational instructions. This guide will assist you to utilize the most of our mapping and tracking for your GPS unit. Wilson Tracking markets several GPS units, but the mapping is standard for all applications and usage. Our operational instructions are intended for the users of our GPS units only. Our information and operational sections are intended for those users who may or may not want to use all of the features provided. All features of our tracking software are not included in this document. Please refer to our support section for more technical information that you may need. User sign on There are several ways to access your gps unit. Below you will find the ways that you can access your unit from a computer or cell connected to the internet: 1. http://wilsontracking.info 2. http://wilsontracking.info/m (for mobile application) When accessing the web portal for tracking using the http://wilsontracking.info address, you will be taken to the computer/pc tracking page. When using the www.wilsontracking.info/m you will be taken to our web page portal where you can sign in as a Mobile user. User/Password After accessing the web portal you will enter the user name and password that you were provided when you purchased your unit. This information should have been sent via e-mail to you if you ordered on the internet or telephone. After successfully entering the user and password you will be taken to the mapping page (Computer). Our mapping page layout consists of a single page for ease of use. Below you will find a list of functions that you can perform from the main page. Main Tab Headings 1. Reports 2. Admin 3. Settings 4. Workspace 5. Maps 6. Windows 7. Logout Sub Tab Headings 1. Vehicle Tab Controls 1. Vehicles 2. Vehicle Info 3. Status 4. Geofence 5. Tracks 6. Alert Our mapping screen usage varies from customer to customer. Keeping in mind that a Private Investigator may choose to use the Geozone feature for alerts when a vehicle moves to a normal user who just wants to track his vehicle. Tracking, reporting and alerts are the strong features that are most used by the gps owner. Tracking Tabs can be moved around by left clicking on the individual tab and dragging it to the position on the bottom left/right or top left/right. 2
Once you have moved your tabs where you would like them you can click on Workspace and save the map and tabs. Vehicles Looking at the right side of the map you will see the tab Vehicles. Depending on where you have moved the tab. By clicking on vehicles you will the vehicle that the GPS is attached to and in most cases your user name as well. REMEMBER, to see and track your vehicle you must click on the vehicle under the Vehicle tab. By clicking on the vehicle listed under this tab your vehicle will be centered on the map. If for some reason you have lost your vehicle on the map, just click on the vehicle name under the Vehicle tab and it will center on the map. If at any time you would like to see the current and today s tracks of the vehicle just right click on the vehicle in the mapping area and select Draw today s tracks. By clicking on today s tracks you will see the tracks of the vehicle and the minute interval of tracking tracks. Status/Vehicle Info Tabs By clicking on these tabs you will see the information about your vehicle. You may not see the same information as in the picture below due to each tracker sold may be for a different purpose. Also remember that the tracker list the last information sent to the terminal when it stops. 3
Tracks Tab By selecting the Tracks Tab you will be able to search by any date and time for where the vehicle has travelled. You must be specific on dates and times. You will then see your vehicle tracks listed bellow the search dates and you can then select from any of the dates for a replay on the mapping screen. When done just simply select another tab or quit the search. Alerts and Alarms 1. The mapping system comes set up for basic alerts and alarm features. When you purchase the motorcycle GPS system you automatically have the Theft Alarm and Low Battery alarm and alerts configured. These features operate automatically for you. The Theft/Tow alarm operates on the theory of two things that must occur at the same time: (1) movement of the motorcycle and (2) ignition is turned off. The GPS senses this movement and ignition power to create a theft alarm. Users should remember that if they are moving their motorcycle by truck or trailer to disarm this alarm. 2. How to disarm: In the top menu section select ADMIN and then select Theft Alarm. 3. Once rules is selected you will see a list of rules, you will select the Theft Alarm Rule. (refer to the below graphics) 4. Once selected you can disable this alarm rule. Remember that if you disable the rule you must enable it to set the alarm feature. 4
Alerts and Alarms For those users who have other pre-configured alarms and alerts you follow the same procedure as above to cancel the alert that are set. Remember to enable the alarm rule or event rule when you are ready to use it again. There is no need to make changes to the rules as pre-configured as our technicians have entered the correct e-mail and telephone numbers as provided to us when the GPS unit and software was set up for you. If you have special needs regarding alerts or alarms please contact us. Reports By selecting the Reports Tab at the top of the page (left side) you will see a list of reports that you are able to run. Keep in mind that some of these reports you may or may not find helpful to your needs. Select the report that best fits your needs. Once the report is selected You will see the parameters For the report. ALWAYS select the tracker name as User ID. If you fail to select the GPS User ID then you will not be able to run the report. You will also see that you can also e-mail the report. The e-mail address of the user receives the report. You can run reports in several formats as seen by the tab next to Generate You can also generated automated reports by selecting Manage Reports 5
Change Password You have the ability to change your password at any time from the settings tab at the top of the mapping page. Tool Bars Main Mapping tool bar with full control and layout Reports- section to run and pick reports Admin- section for administrative functions of software Settings- allows user to make certain changes to password, etc! Workspace- allows users to save map layout, tab layout, and create map look Maps- allows users to choose which maps to use (2 selections) Windows- special views or windows that the user sees on the mapping Maintenance- status and maintenance of vehicles if used in the software Logout- end user session and close application Below tool bar is map related only Devices- allows user to see specific device if more than one is used on map Zoom to view- allows user to use the zoom feature on mapping Follow Selected- when this box is checked, each movement of the veh is followed Center on Click- this box checked allows the user to center vehicle on click Show Trace- this draws a line where the vehicle was when checked and continues to trace until unchecked 6
Special Features Wilson Tracking offers special features to our software that is not normally found in other reporting and monitoring software. Below you will find some of the features that we think will offer you a flexibility of tracking not found in other software. Street View Our street view allows the user to do several things to view the street real time view as the GPS moves on its path. You can do two things with the street view application. 1. place your mouse over the orange man Fig. A 2. pull the man to where you want to see a street view as shown below in fig. B. release mouse finger and you will see a street view of your selection. This view can be placed anywhere on a map you select. Fig. A Fig. B Real Time Street View Real time street view allows you to track your vehicle and see the real time street scenes as the tracker moves down the road. Our software allows you to see what is in the road way, road way view, and street and scene view. Refer to the below instructions to run this application while tracking in real time. 1. Select the WINDOWS tab from main menu 2. Select street view from the drop down list Fig. C 7
3. When you select street view you will see a view map come up on the screen that shows the view from the tracker position. Refer to Fig. D Fig. C Fig. D 4. Pull the street view section to the far right of your mapping page and now you can track in real time as well as view the street view location of the device. You can also change the view in real time as the tracker moves. This view is extremely helpful when tracking long distance and when you allow others to see where you are travelling so they can also see the scenery that you see. Search/Tool Bar and Gauges Selection Type in any location in the search map box Your map will then go to this location You can make gauges appear and disappear Tool Bar with multiple functions Erase map tracks and trace Fig E 8
Geozone Alerts and Settings Wilson Tracking has made the settings of your geozone alerts simple. Please follow the below instructions to set your Geozone locations. Please remember that you must remove the Geozone alert once set or you will continue to receive the alerts if your trackers pass thru this zone. To set a Geozone Alert 1. Select the tab for Geofence Fig F Fig F 3. Select New from the left pull down box 4. You can select Circle or Polygon 5. You will need to name this alert and make it simple with one name 6. See figure G below Fig G 7. Once you have selected the circle/named the alert you will see the alert as in Fig H and then save. Your alert is now saved and active. Depending on the alert, Inside or Outside you will then receive the alert when your gps unit passes into or out of this area. Fig. H 9
Cellular Telephone Connect Wilson Tracking offers three ways to connect to your GPS devices. You can connect with any computer that has internet access or by cellular telephone/tablet that has internet access. We offer internet connections specifically by cellular phone with most any operating systems if internet access is accessible. Please refer to page one form the specific sign on for these applications. At this time Wilson Tracking has our registered Android Application ready for down load on the Android site: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nu.fdp.genxgps&hl=en Our Android application is ready for download and the download is free. Fig I The Android application is used for Motorcycle Users ONLY! Our application is the only application on the market for killing or starting your ignition on your motorcycle. With this application you can make sure that your motorcycle is not able to start and reduce the chances of theft. This special application works directly with the theft alarm programmed into the GPS module on your motorcycle. Complete set up instructions are included from the down load site. This application must have a 10 digit number assigned for operation and is provided by Wilson Tracking for a $25 set up fee. The set up fee is required to activate the application.
