3 HOW TO SET UP YOUR OUTLOOK ACCOUNT Outlook 2002 (Office XP) Open Outlook and from the Tools dropdown select Accounts. Select Add a new account. Outlook Account Setup Page 3

4 Click on the Add button. Fill in the following information: Your Name: This is your full name Address: this is Income Mail Server: mail.slnysarc.org Outgoing Mail Server: mail.slnysarc.org User Name: username Password: Leave Blank Leave the remember password box unchecked Leave the Logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) box unchecked Click More Settings. 5 Click the Outgoing Server tab. Check the My outgoing server (SMPT) requires authentication box. Enable the Use same settings as my incoming mail server radio button. Click the Advanced Tab. In the Incoming Server (POP3) box put 995. Check the This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL). Outgoing Server (SMTP): box put 25. Check the Use the following type of encrypted connection. Turn the Server Timeouts to short, 1 minute. This will complete the setup. Outlook Account Setup Page 5

6 Outlook 2003 (Office 2003) Open Outlook, go to the Tools menu (if you get other pop-up screens when opening Outlook click the cancel button next to them until you can click on the B menu), and click on Accounts...
