President Michael Rossi, FHFMA, CPA Director of Governmental Reimbursement University of Pennsylvania Health System Metropolitan Philadelphia Chapter 2015 2016 Officers and Board Nominees Michael is the Director of Governmental Reimbursement for the University of Pennsylvania Health System and has over 20 years of experience with Medicare and Medical Assistance Reimbursements. Prior to joining UPHS, Michael spent a number of years as an auditor, focusing on third party audits of Medicare cost reports in more than 15 different states. An active member of HFMA, he has served six years on the Board of Directors for the Metropolitan Philadelphia Chapter and became an HFMA Fellow in 2011. He has chaired and served on numerous committees for the chapter in the past including the Program and Education Committee, the Legislative Committee, the Reimbursement Committee and the Decision Support Committee. He has presented at several HFMA events in the past and currently provides the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing with two annual presentations that focus on the finances of the Medicare Program from its noble inception in 1966 to the current day complex model it has become. A proud graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, Michael holds a B.S. in Accounting and is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. President Elect Edward B. Bleacher II, MBA, CRCR Vice President of Financial Planning and Revenue Cycle The Children s Hospital of Philadelphia Edward is the Vice President of Financial Planning and Revenue Cycle at The Children s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) where he has worked for the past 16 years in various financial roles. Edward is accountable for the financial planning efforts at CHOP, including the annual operating and capital budgeting, as well as the corporate long term financial planning in conjunction with strategic planning. Edward is responsible for the direction of annual cost reporting, CH GME reporting, revenue analytics, management financial reporting, service line reporting, statistical analytics, Revenue Cycle KPI dashboards, and other financial tasks. Edward is responsible for setting corporate revenue and reimbursement strategy. He leads the managed care function for CHOP through enhancing payor relationships, contract negotiations, proposal evaluations and contract decision making. Edward is responsible for the Patient Financial Services Departments handling all technical billing functions of the hospital as well as all professional billing for CHOP s vast Primary Care Network. Edward completed his Green Belt training in Six Sigma and routinely

seeks out opportunities to apply continuous process improvement to achieve the best financial processes within the financial services of CHOP. Edward is a graduate of LaSalle University with a degree in accounting and a graduate of Widener University with a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Service Administration. Edward has also successfully attended Harvard University for executive coursework in Driving Corporate Performance, Aligning scorecards, systems, and strategy. Edward has been an active member of HFMA serving as Chapter Secretary, Co Chair of the Program Committee, Chair of the Legislative Committee, and member to several other committees. Vice President Kim Hollingsworth, MBA Partner IMA Consulting Kim has more than 25 years of experience exclusively in the healthcare field, and she leads our Revenue Management practice. Kim s expertise in the revenue cycle includes Patient Access, Charge Capture, Patient Accounting, and Information Technology. She has many years of operational experience working for a provider and as a consultant. Kim has worked for multi hospital health systems, community hospitals, academic medical centers, and large physician practices across the country. Her areas of expertise include process improvement, change management, project management, and information systems implementation and adoption. Prior to joining IMA Consulting, Kim was Corporate Director of Patient Financial Services for Crozer Keystone Health System, a Siemens INVISION customer. She was also a Principal Consultant for Siemens Medical Solutions. Kim was the Project Manager for system standardization and Model INVISION implementation projects for several large multi hospital health care organizations. Kim also managed a project to re engineer the intake process across 50+ hospital owned Physician Offices. She led a project to evaluate compliance issues for a large multi hospital health care system and implemented policies, procedures, and information system changes to improve and monitor compliance. She has implemented patient pre registration, up front cash collections, accounts receivable follow up systems, claims scrubbers, HIPAA transactions, and standard policies and procedures for large multi hospital health care systems. Kim earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Millersville University and her Master of Business Administration in Health Care Administration at Saint Joseph s University. She is a Board member of the Philadelphia Chapter of Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and is a member of Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).

Treasurer Guy Hoffman Associate Vice President Finance Einstein Healthcare Network Guy Hoffman currently serves as the Associate Vice President of Finance for Einstein Healthcare Network. He has been in this role for the past two years with responsibility for patient financial services at the network level, to include billing and collections, for all of their hospitals and the 600+ physician services companies. Prior to joining Einstein, Guy had worked in revenue cycle leadership positions for over twenty five years within the local Philadelphia area. He had also served as a senior manager of a local and national consulting firm leading client engagements focused upon Patient Financial Services, Patient Access, Charge Capture and Strategic Pricing. Guy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1983 from LaSalle University and an MBA from Philadelphia University in 1992, with a concentration in healthcare administration. He has been a member of the Metropolitan Philadelphia Chapter of HFMA for many years serving on various committees as Chair/Co Chair. During this past year, Guy has served as a Co Chair of the Education & Program Committee. Guy has recently been elected to the HFMA National Advisory Council for Payment/Reimbursement/Revenue Cycle. When not engaged with Einstein and chapter activities, Guy is an adjunct professor at Drexel University and Peirce College instructing on healthcare reimbursement and revenue management to young talent entering our local healthcare market. Secretary Anne DelPizzo Manager, Decision Support PATHS, LLC Anne Del Pizzo, leads PATHS, LLC s decision support team, providing clients with comprehensive and meaningful data analysis. This includes quality benchmarking for data sets, analysis of qualitative data and comment reports. She uses her 20 year of experience in accounting and finance along with her strengths in technology and attention to detail to create meaning in numbers. Anne devotes her time to keeping up with the latest trends in technology and not only uses this information in her reporting but also serves as PATHS in house training support for staff. She is eager to share her knowledge with staff, clients and professional groups. Her proficiencies include Microsoft Office Suite and data analyzing software tools such as Monarch and SQL. Recently, Anne has also dedicated her time to being a board member for the Philadelphia Chapter of AAHAM and is proud to have been on the board of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), where her energy earned her the Edward F. Mallon New Member Award in 2006. She is currently on the HFMA Communications and Program Committees where she can integrate her skills in technology to advance their message.

Board of Directors Jonathan W. Pearce, CPA, FHFMA Principal Singletrack Analytics, LLC Jonathan Pearce is a Principal with Singletrack Analytics, which he founded in 2010. In this role he assists providers and healthcare organizations in data driven decision making, primarily involving advanced payment systems such as bundled payment or ACOs. Jon is currently working with more than two dozen participants in the Medicare BPCI program, along with several physician ACO groups. Prior to forming Singletrack, Jon worked with several other consulting and public accounting firms, and has more than 35 years of healthcare financial experience. Jon has an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA in Finance from Temple University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Fellow of HFMA, and also a Microsoft Certified IT Professional in business intelligence. He is also a pre publication reviewer for Healthcare Financial Management magazine, a faculty member of the Academy for Healthcare Leadership Advancement of Cornell University, and a frequent speaker and author. He has been a board member of the Metropolitan Philadelphia chapter of HFMA for the past three years. Edward J. Coyle, Esq., CPA, FHMFA System Director of Third Party Reimbursement Trinity Health Ed Coyle is the System Director of Third Party Reimbursement at Trinity Health, a multi state health system encompassing 86 hospitals, 128 continuing care facilities and home health and hospice programs in 21 states nationwide. He has 28 years of experience in healthcare finance, with a focus on Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement. Ed has extensive expertise in the interpretation of third party reimbursement regulations, regulatory compliance, Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting, Medicare cost report appeals, net revenue analysis and financial projections. He has been Director of Reimbursement or Reimbursement Manager at several multi hospital chains (Trinity Health, Catholic Health East/Mercy Health System, Catholic Health Initiatives, and TJUH Ford Road Campus), and managed financial audits and cost report audits at two CPA firms (M.D. Oppenheim and Heffler & Co.). Ed is an Attorney, a Certified Public Account, and certified as a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Bill Cogliano, CHFP Senior Financial Analyst Cooper University Health Care Bill is a Senior Financial Analyst for Cooper University Health Care. In his current role, Bill supports senior leadership in decision making by developing financial and operational analyses. Prior to joining Cooper, Bill began a career in health care finance interning with the Children s Hospital of Philadelphia. As an active member of HFMA, Bill has chaired several committees including the Data Analytics Workgroup and the Communications Committee, and supports the planning of the annual Data Analytics Seminar. Bill earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Drexel University and is currently pursuing an MBA at Saint Joseph s University concentrating in Business Analytics. After earning a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certificate from Villanova University, Bill has facilitated multiple process improvement projects. Bill is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional actively pursuing a fellowship with HFMA. Deirdra Young, MBA, CRCR Sr. Director of Patient Financial Services Children s Hospital of Philadelphia Deirdra Young has more than 25 years experience in healthcare in revenue cycle and operations management at top tier academic institutions. She has demonstrated leadership and expertise in healthcare operations, finance, revenue cycle, patient access, system implementations and project management. Currently Deirdra holds the position of Sr. Director of Patient Financial Services for Children s Hospital of Philadelphia, ranked as the top Children s hospital in the country. Her previous positions include Regional Billing and Operations Director at Tenet Health System for eight hospitals and Director of Patient Access and Clinical Operations Director for Hospital University of Pennsylvania Health System physician practices. Deirdra has an undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware and also holds a Master s Degree in Business Administration from Wilmington College. Deirdra has been an active member of HFMA currently serving as the Revenue Cycle Co Chair and a member of the Executive Board.
