2013 Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice Symposium 2013 Theme: Advancing Nursing Practice and Research: Realizing Possibilities The University of Chicago Medicine (UCM) Annual Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice Symposium is a forum for UCM nurses and other healthcare professionals, and nurses from external entities to share research and evidence-based practice experiences, disseminate study findings, and network with colleagues. The ultimate goal of the symposium is to improve the quality and safety of patient care, and enhance healthcare delivery. Learning Objectives 1. Identify changes and innovations in nursing and health care 2. Describe opportunities for research and evidence-based practice 3. Describe efforts in translating research into practice validation and improvement 4. Discuss current research and evidence-based practice findings Target Audience The target audience for this symposium includes: UCM nurses, students, other healthcare professionals and the public. Continuing Education Contact hours will be awarded for nurses who attend the symposium. Registration Fee Before or on 3/13/13 After 3/13/13 UCM/BSD employees and students $95 $125 Non-UCM attendees $125 $155 Registration fee include meals. Space is limited; register early to ensure your attendance. Sorry, no same-day registration. Cancellations require written notification by March 22, 2013. Refunds will be granted less $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be made after March 22, 2013. Criteria for Successful Completion Attendance for the entire program and completion of the evaluation tool at the end of the program. This activity has been submitted to the Ohio Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours. The Ohio Nurses Association (OBN-001-91) is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center s Commission on Accreditation.
