Objectivs To create a regional DB of Emilia- Romagna s accommodation facilities To realize a regional monitoring system To geo networking regional accommodation facilities 7
Advantages offered by the implementation of regional DB It provides an accurate knowledge of the composition, characteristics and evolution of the regional tourism system: To elaborate a more effective regional strategic planning and policy and improve the public investments; To allow better distribution of public aid in respect of real necessity and demands (calls for training, learning projects, direct aid to private businesses); to support policies on Structural Funds of 2007-2013 planning; to allow integration with other regional and national DB (for example the website ITALIA.it) for the exchange of information and production of new services; to allow to display the territorial distribution accommodation facilities of regional 8
Developed activities to date The achivement of regional DB through: Design of DB structure in order to receive most of the local DB content items Define of Data transmission procedure between Regional DB and Province DB Rationalisation and homogenization of data field present in the Province DB Assignment of identifiable key to every accommodation facilities, that is composed by an ISTAT code (ex. 037001-AL-00001) 9
Developed activities to date Collected data analysis of Regional DB and drafting of Annual Report of monitoring system shared out into four groups: registry data accommodation, services and prices Realisation of a pilot project about geo locating of the accommodation facilities 10
Regional DB Accommodation management via web Each provincial administration will be entitled to management (insert, modify and delete) their structures. The structures are easily found, proceeding with the search through this form: 11
