5 Diapositiva 5/11 AIR QUALITY PLAN AND SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY IN BOLOGNA Ratified on the 28th of February 2005 Main actions 1-pedestrian lanes enlargement; 2-developing non-motorised integrated networks (cycling, walking) 30 km added to the existing 77 km network; 3-offer raising of Local Public Transport; 4-new ticketing solutions (Ecoticket and Ecodays); 5-promotion of mobility management policies; 6-use of innovative technologies for improved operation and management (S.I.R.I.O, R.I.T.A., moveable curbs,...) Furthermore extension of mobility management projects existing since the setting up of the Sirio system (MMSIRIO Project)

T Area (via Ugo Bassi, via dell Indipendenza, via Rizzoli) electronically controlled area 24 hours per day (R.I.T.A.) Pedestrian areas protected by moveable curb islands the curbs automatically go down each working day, from 6 a.m. to a.m. and from 3.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. in order to guarantee the access for loading and unloading operations.
