2 History Founded in 1991, Cooperativa Terremerse is the result of the merger of various cooperatives under the common aegis of C.O.R.A.S., whose own roots lie in the Cooperativa Servizi a Coloni, Piccoli proprietari e affittuari of Massa Lombarda, founded on 30 April 1911 and effectively the ancestor of today s Terremerse. 6 Grain & protein foods Terremerse is a partner of leading world players (pasta makers, infant foods, mills and feed suppliers) for whom quality including organic produce is an asset for increased customer loyalty. By acting at every link in the chain, Terremerse generates value for member producers, for itself and for its partners. Its principal objective is to sell and add value to the produce of its members. Terremerse help their producers at every stage, from crop planning through seeding to harvest. We collect, store, preserve and sell their produce. On the production side we generate value by implementing policies at every link on the chain of value: Activating technical and agronomic assistance packages designed to obtain optimum yields in terms of quality and quantity, respecting the principles of environmental sustainability and food safety.
